In summary, Shines Over: The Damned falls short of its ambitious goals, offering a brief but ultimately forgettable experience. While it may appeal to fans of the more experimental side of horror, the game’s flaws outweigh its strengths, resulting in a game that struggles to leave a lasting impression. With a lack of compelling gameplay and narrative depth, Shines Over: The Damned ultimately fails to distinguish itself in the competitive landscape of psychological horror games despite a decent first impression.

But while Bluey: The Videogame succeeds in capturing the show’s charm with crisp graphics, amazing audio, and simple controls, it falls short in terms of length and broader appeal. The simplistic and repetitive gameplay will entertain the targeted age group of 5-8-year-olds for a playthrough, but we doubt they’ll come back for more. The short duration of the game, coupled with a few technical issues, doesn’t help either. Despite these drawbacks, for fans of the Bluey franchise looking for a straightforward, fun, and colorful experience, the game still manages to deliver on certain fronts – if you’ve got a Bluey superfan at home, you can’t go wrong with this one.

In conclusion, FINIS stands as a commendable attempt to fuse psychological evaluation with puzzle-solving gameplay. The exploration of the Lüscher test within a video game format is unique and captivating, offering players a chance to reflect on their choices and potentially discover a different outcome. However, the game’s narrative shortcomings and control-related issues hinder its ability to fully realize its potential. For those intrigued by introspective gaming experiences, FINIS may still be worth a try, but expectations should be tempered to align with its strengths and weaknesses.

In conclusion, Transformers: Earthspark – Expedition successfully immerses players in the beloved Transformers universe, delivering an engaging experience for fans of all ages. The game’s attention to detail, fluid gameplay mechanics, and faithful representation of the franchise’s characters and world make it a worthwhile addition for any Transformers enthusiast. Despite minor navigational challenges and limited mission variety in the open world, Bumblebee’s journey offers hours of entertaining gameplay – especially for younger players who won’t mind at all that side missions are a bit repetitive. To them, this is the most accessible Transformers action adventure yet.

In conclusion, Lords of the Fallen, with its captivating world of Axiom and intriguing characters, stands as a notable addition to the Soulslike genre. The game’s dual-world system and rich narrative approach offer a fresh experience. However, issues with combat balance and level design hinder its potential to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other heavyweights in the genre. Despite this, the game’s captivating visual design, intriguing characters, and effective dual-world system make it a compelling journey for those who relish a formidable challenge.

In summary, Enchanted Portals, while inspired by Cuphead, falls short of replicating its magic. The controls, particularly in platforming segments, lack the precision required for a challenging experience. The game’s art style and aesthetic are its strongest assets, capturing the essence of the classic hand drawn cartoon era like Cuphead did. Nevertheless, certain design choices and execution issues prevent this one from shining just as brightly.

In conclusion, GYLT offers an audiovisually captivating and atmospheric adventure that confronts important themes. While it may not revolutionize gameplay mechanics, the game provides an enjoyable experience with solid stealth mechanics, engaging puzzles, and a well-executed art style. Despite its strengths, Inner Ashes does have a few shortcomings. The game’s walking simulator-like pace may not appeal to all players, and the subject matter isn’t going to be engaging to everyone. Inner Ashes is a moving and impactful game that sheds light on the emotional toll of Alzheimer’s disease, and effectively combines educational elements with a well-crafted narrative, inviting players to empathize with Henry’s journey. Inner Ashes is a reminder of the power of storytelling in addressing sensitive topics, and it is a game that should be considered for its emotional depth and thought-provoking themes that take mental health seriously while providing an entertaining experience.

But while World Adventures feels like a step up from My Friend Peppa Pig in a number of ways, it also feels like it was rushed out the door a little too quickly. We ran into more than a handful of serious bugs with our pre-release version, and even upon launch (after a patch) a number of these issues persist. Some are visual in nature, and in other cases the wrong responses were being triggered. We were surprised, as Outright’s games are usually well polished and rarely need post-launch updates to be enjoyed.

The audio is rather minimalist in nature, but for the price it’s a really solid puzzler that we’d love to see more of. Bring on chapter 2!

What certainly helps Treasures of the Aegean is its presentation. It may not feature the kind of fancy 3D visuals that a timeloop game like Deathloop has, but the beautiful comic book style presentation took us back to games like Viewtiful Joe and Comix Zone. This style can be seen in-game, but also extends to how you interact with others and in story scene, which is a very appealing design choice by the team at Undercovers. Definitely one of the surprise hits of the season.
