El estudio con sede en Barcelona Last Chicken Games nos trae Jett Rider, un juego de corte arcade con mucha acción, exploración, combates y mucho humor. 

Jett Rider es un juego shooter de acción y plataformas muy, pero que muy recomendable y entretenido. Su historia no te sorprenderá ni te hará emocionarte, pero estoy seguro de que te sacará muchas sonrisas ya que tiene un humor fresco en cada dialogo y situación, y sus personajes en algunos momentos son desternillantes. En el apartado de jugabilidad destaca lo bien que responde el control del jetpack que nos permite sobrevolar la pantalla para sortear obstáculos y enfrentarnos a hordas de enemigos con un arsenal importante de armas. La diversión esta garantizada.

Si algo destaca por encima del resto en Jett Rider son los frenéticos enfrentamientos contra los jefes finales, con unos combates gratamente divertidos que aunque te desafían no llegan a ser frustrantes. Además, sus mecánicas, movimientos y patrones de ataque hace que cada uno de ellos se sienta único. En el apartado artístico la sencillez de un brillante pixel art y un sonido tipo chiptune que le va de vicio siguen una norma, la de que en ocasiones no hace falta grandes alardes para conseguir un resultado impecable. Si quieres disfrutar de unas cuantas horas de diversión dale una oportunidad a este barrendero espacial tan genuino, no te arrepentirás.

En fin, no hay mucho más que escribir sobre “Jett Rider”. Se trata de un juego que hace referencia a varias experiencias clásicas sin llegar a sentirse como una copia barata, más bien desarrollando una identidad propia de estilo retro. No se trata del juego más original del mundo; de hecho, las mecánicas las hemos visto en varias otras propuestas. El chiste de “Jett Rider”, sin embargo, en la trama y en el estilo de humor que maneja, así como en el gameplay súper bien desarrollado y los controles que responden sin problemas. Si están buscado un juego entretenido y adictivo tipo arcade, pues, “Jett Rider” es una sólida opción.

Well, it turns out that game is no longer available, with this seeming to be the somewhat upgraded and renamed version. I suppose that works well enough, and I was at least charmed by the original, but it was a bit confusing when I first began playing due to a serious sense of deja vu. Now, if you happened to already own Willy Jetman from a while back, you absolutely shouldn’t buy this as it’s mostly the same game. If, however, you weren’t previously acquainted with it, there's a fun vibe to the experience and there really aren’t any other games quite like it on the system, so it may be worth a look.

Jett Rider carves its niche with a distinctive blend of exploration and arcade action. While not groundbreaking, the game’s mechanics and focus on core gameplay elevate it above its somewhat generic look and feel. For players seeking an indie arcade adventure with a touch of nostalgia, Jett Rider proves to be a worthwhile experience at a budget price that’s well worth it.

Coming in as a huge Solar Jetman fan, I was immediately surprised by how this game looked, felt, and played. Using a jump and a jetpack you are in essence an intergalactic garbage man who collects waste and deposits it in the designated bins. Outside of your Captain Planet-inspired heroics you fight aliens, go du geon crawling, and collect new guns to kill said aliens faster. It all cumulates into an experience that is full of nostalgia and fun but most importantly discovery and power for you can play how you want and just take it all in, maybe do some farming of gear to level up or just fire straight through. I had an absolute blast for many hours until the game got a bit stale, once you’ve seen one dungeon you have seen them all, the aliens don’t change much and it all became a grind to the point I had to give up. It saddened me as I did love the opening few hours, it went at a slow pace but I liked it, it fit in with the style. Maybe I could go back after an extended break but at the moment I’m happy leaving it with mostly good memories. It is weird to see the game back again under a different name but that licensing game is weird.

Jett Rider es uno de esos videojuegos que logra meternos de lleno en una atmósfera de aventura y acción a partes iguales, en gran parte debido a sus decisiones artísticas.

Después de realizar este análisis de Jett Rider se siente un juego muy completo con un inicio y un final. No tiene contenido extra que pretenda alargar la historia, aunque podemos volver a explorar los sectores para obtener todos los logros. Habrá ocasiones donde necesitaremos toda nuestra concentración y precisión para sortear los peligros, pero contaremos con un punto de guardado muy cerca. No es un juego difícil pero sí competente, así que no hay que dar por sentado que conocemos todo lo que nos viene encima. La verdad que Jett Rider me ha sorprendido gratamente y es muy recomendable añadir a vuestras bibliotecas.
