I am a fan of side-scrolling platformers like Inside, Songs of Iron and Limbo, and One Last Breath has taken my gaming breath away! Personally, I am not the type of character to worry about “save the world” elements, however, One Last Breath sucked me into their world and made me think, that some of my real-world actions might have a massive effect on the world as we know it. That aside, the gameplay was wonderful and pleasant to play, with the short sharp and levels that made each section of the game palatable. I felt truly relaxed while playing, even though a wrong move could kill me.

One Last Breath sits comfortably between Inside and Planet of Lana and should be considered another triumphant example of the atmospheric puzzle platforming genre. If you love either of those games, you will want to play this one!

One Last Breath is a love letter to the simple times when 2.5D narrative-driven games were at their peak. Since their absence, the title brings a fan-favorite back to the mainstream via its great storytelling and intriguing puzzles.

One Last Breath has some smart puzzles that feel familiar to the genre, but the world is so inviting despite it being on the brink of collapse. There isn’t a ton of originality in its puzzles or its creatures, but the way it tells its story without a single word is admirable, choosing to let the environments do the talking. There’re a few collectibles to find which allow you to explore certain areas, and with a delightful art style and beautiful score, it’s an easy recommendation for fans of the genre.

One Last Breath es directo y de mensaje claro. El Juego es corto y por eso invita a descubrir sus varios finales. El final principal es fácil de llevar a cabo. No es un juego complicado, pero invita a explorar las pequeñas posibilidades que tiene. Hay momentos preciosos y otros momentos de rabia hacia lo que estamos haciendo como seres humanos.

One Last Breath est un jeu indépendant qui se veut intéressant à parcourir. Sa direction artistique fait mouche immédiatement et son concept de base crée de l’intérêt puisque l’on se demande sans cesse ce qu’il se passe et quel est le rôle de notre personnage. Malheureusement, l’aventure – trop courte – manque de difficultés et son histoire, masquée derrière son ambiance et ses jolis environnements – reste beaucoup trop discrète.

One Last Breath si è rivelato un gioco dall'estetica piacevole, sebbene già vista. Un impianto audio video di livello, grazie a scelte stilistiche azzeccate. Il gioco è caratterizzato da una forte connotazione narrativa, una narrazione implicita ed introspettiva, che starà al giocatore dedurre da quanto vedrà e sentirà. Purtroppo si cade un pò a livello di gameplay dove i puzzle ambientali si rivelano un pò troppo semplici e non particolarmente intriganti, così come il ventaglio di interazioni possibili, piuttosto ridotto.

One Last Breath est un jeu de plateforme et de réflexion très sympa, idéal pour passer une soirée immersive. Bien qu'il ne soit pas le meilleur du genre, se plaçant derrière des titres tels que Planet of Lana ou Inside, il offre néanmoins une belle aventure dans un monde post-apocalyptique à l'atmosphère captivante.

One Last Breath est un jeu qui nous lance directement dans l’action sans moult explications, ce qui n’est pas un trop gros défaut en soi puisque nous comprenons assez rapidement ce qu’il faut faire. Et même si l’histoire n’est pas racontée à la manière d’une narration ou de cinématiques, le contexte n’est pas du tout difficile à concevoir. Grâce à sa bande sonore et à ses tons sombres, l’ambiance est bien pesante et prenante et nous restons en haleine tout du long. Il est vraiment dommage que les graphismes n’aient pas été suffisamment travaillés car les monstres ne sont pas si effrayants que ça visuellement.

Pulling that all together what you’re left with is a game that obviously had some ambitions, and is able to cobble together elements to help realize them, but it just doesn’t quite get there. It’s possible that the conversion to the Switch may have not done it any favors, as its looks and performance don’t feel top notch by any means, but I’m not sure even on other platforms with less technical limitations that the gameplay would improve that dramatically. There’s a decent experience to be had here if you’re a fan of its style, but if you’re expecting it to live up to the level of its peers you’re likely to be disappointed.

Since the game is so short, I still think it’s worth a try. When the game succeeds, it glows, and gameplay feels seamless and interesting. You might bang your head against it a little, but the solutions are always common sense and it feels incredible to work through something on your own. Just be warned that you probably won’t find the game’s ending particularly satisfying, but if you can look past that, One Last Breath does have something to offer.

For those who have not, One Last Breath keeps things vibrantly engulfing throughout its outstanding and varied levels, although the main themes and character could have used more individuality. However, it does not really do anything innovative or out-of-the-box with the puzzle-platform genre, resulting in the core message and the game not being as effective as they could have been.

One Last Breath ofrece un estilo de juego que necesita desarrollos y momentos mucho más inspirados para conseguir transmitir y contar algo interesante. Desafortunadamente se queda en un intento sin chispa de puzles demasiado convencionales y un ambiente de tensión que se diluye poco a poco por lo encorsetado de cada suceso.

One Last Breath doesn’t wear its influences on it’s sleeves, but rather took the whole shirt as it doesn’t do enough to differentiate it from the games that came before. A short runtime and decent enough gameplay does make it pleasant enough but it ultimately doesn’t push for more.

One Last Breath's presentation is terrific but everything else about it is mediocre at best so unless you don't mind dealing with subpar puzzles and are a big fan of immersing yourself in a ruined world taken back by nature, I wouldn't bother with it.

One Last Breath es una corta aventura en un mundo extraño y peligroso que nos deja un mensaje optimista aun considerando la naturaleza oscura de su mundo. Su jugabilidad es sencilla y su narrativa recompensa la atención al detalle. Si eres de los que les gusta este singular subgénero de plataformeros, vale la pena echarle un vistazo.

Assurément, One Last Breath nous fait passer un bon moment. Avec sa direction artistique réussie, ses jolis panoramas, sa bande-son agréable et son univers mystérieux, l’envie de progresser demeure. Le problème c’est que comparé à d’autres titres du genre, One Last Breath ne surprend pas vraiment. On regrette que l’histoire soit finalement aussi peu développée, et que les énigmes soient aussi simplistes en plus d’être assez identiques tout au long du jeu. Malgré ses deux fins qui assurent un peu de rejouabilité, on finit donc par rester un peu sur notre faim, cherchant cette petite graine de folie qui hélas n’arrive jamais. Une expérience sympathique que l’on vous conseille tout de même de faire, même si elle ne marquera par les esprits sur le long terme.

One Last Breath, s'il fait passer un moment sympathique et propose une très belle ambiance et d'excellentes musiques, souffre malheureusement de la comparaison avec les ténors du genre. Même en gardant en tête qu'il s'agit d'un titre indépendant au budget modeste, on regrette que le jeu ne propose quasi aucun challenge, avec des énigmes sympathiques mais vraiment faciles. C'est dommage, car on traverse le jeu avec un certain intérêt, grâce à une direction artistique intéressante et quelques décors qui parviennent à se démarquer. Mais tout au long de ses 3 petites heures, One Last Breath ne surprend pas assez pour vraiment convaincre, et nous a laissés sur notre faim.

Disfrutarás si te gusta resolver los distintos desafíos mediante el ingenio, el sigilo o incluso huyendo a la carrera cuando no queda otra salida. Su historia, contada mediante lo que perciben nuestros ojos del escenario a medida que avanza la partida, es la de una naturaleza herida de muerte por las destructivas manos de la humanidad, que busca sobrevivir a través de su último aliento, el renacer de Gaia. A su necesario mensaje ecológico, se le une una ambientación fantástica que te hace sentir en unas ocasiones incómodo y asfixiado, y en otras lleno de paz y calidez.
