Have a go, and like me, you might be surprised how quickly the outside world drowns out - and thus, in its own context, how fantastic of a game it is.

I am still quite new to the wholesome, cosy game genre which Camper Van: Make it Home perfectly snuggles into, but my four hours unpacking and making my new homes was one filled with much happiness. There’s such a pleasure in finding a home for your belongings and spinning items to face the right way that I unexpectedly started to be invested much more than I first expected. And if, like me, you have always wanted to go on a camper van expedition but have never quite made it, then this will make for a wonderful replacement until you can hopefully make it in real life.

En términos generales Camper Van Make It Home es un título muy recomendable para todos aquellos que disfruten juegos cozy sobre decorar y ordenar. Destaca por su originalidad al brindar la propuesta de decorar una casa móvil que va evolucionando a medida que avanza la partida y por su excelente diseño sonoro y soundtrack.

Sin embargo, frente al 92% de valoraciones positivas en Steam, en su versión de Nintendo Switch el apartado técnico presenta fallos graves tanto de rendimiento como de gráficos, haciendo que el juego pierda muchísimo a nivel jugable. No podemos disfrutar de un juego cozy con diseños tan bonitos si sus texturas fallan y no consiguen transmitir esa sensación de paz y calma al jugarlo.

Camper Van: Make it Home está recomendado porque es un juego hecho con cariño, pensado para quienes valoran los pequeños detalles y el ritmo pausado. No innova en lo jugable, ni lo necesita. Es una experiencia breve, sí, pero reconfortante. De esas que dejan un buen recuerdo sin hacer ruido.

I enjoyed my time with Camper Van: Make it Home, but I’m not sure it is worth the price that players will need to pay for it.

I think Camper Van: Make It Home is the kind of game that will be fun after a few patches. It’s a good idea. But due to the controls, hit boxes, and some other elements, it doesn’t feel quite there yet. With some minor adjustments though, Malapata Studio could be on to something good.
