Sì, obiettivamente è un gioco eccezionale e quasi “monumentale” tenendo presente il piccolo team che lo ha concepito, ma non basta di certo a renderlo un bel gioco se chi lo vive non riesce a provare nulla. Così come è innegabile che chiunque si lasci trasportare dall’enormità artistica della produzione rimarrà di certo deluso da piccoli scivoloni nella realizzazione tecnica del gameplay che vedono alcuni input poco precisi pur nella loro semplicità.

In Arise: A Simple Story si sposa una struggente malinconia alla felicità di una vita vissuta insieme che culmina con un singolare “lieto fine”. Da un lato abbiamo un’ambientazione fiabesca e una colonna sonora eccezionale dall’altro qualche piccola imperfezione tecnica su cui è possibile sorvolare.

En conclusion, que dire mis à part le fait que je vous recommande impérativement ce jeu, car, l’expérience vécue est juste sensationnelle. Si vous êtes un amoureux des jeux d’aventures narratives et des œuvres poétiques, vous serez conquis. Mis à part les sauts qui sont mal calibrés, je n’ai eu aucun problème lors de ce test. Que du contraire, j’ai savouré mon bonheur. Je terminerais donc sur la conclusion que des studios peuvent nous sortir des titres complètement à l’opposé de ce qu’ils nous ont habitués à voir. Arise a Simple Story si intrufola nella categoria dei giochi che raccontano una storia senza bisogno di parole e lo fa con delicatezza, in modo romantico, lasciando che l’ultima mano di colore all’esperienza la dia il giocatore attingendo dal ripostiglio in cui custodisce i propri sentimenti. Sembra volerci sussurrare che il dolore, forse ancor più della felicità, forgia l’uomo e che, nell’arco di tutta una vita, entrambe le sensazioni sono inevitabilmente destinate a convivere in ognuno di noi come due facce della stessa, umana medaglia. Una piccola carezza digitale che scalda il cuore, un titolo corto eppure riuscito, che è capace di raccontare molto pur senza proferire verbo.

Tal como dice su título, Arise es una “simple historia”. No necesita de muchos elementos en cuanto a lo narrativo para sumergirnos de lleno en esta experiencia. La poca información que se nos brinda nos alcanza para querer recorrer esta historia de principio a final. Eso sí: no olviden de tener un paquete de pañuelos al lado, posiblemente vayan a emocionarse en más de una ocasión.

Inventive level design drives things forward, but faced with the awkward task of demanding platform-jumping in the aftermath an emotional bombshell, it simply lets the musical and visual storytelling seize their moment. It is only a simple story, but well told.

Likening this game to the movie Up, Arise: A Simple Story is much more than what its title lets on. It forces us to take a step back and analyze life. With its time control mechanics that manipulate the world in so many ways, platforming style of play, and its ability to tell a narrative story without dialogue, Arise is one of those games that makes you question whether small titles like this are becoming the status quo.

Although Arise: A Simple Story has its share of flaws, the experience is well worth the time. The graphics are beautiful, the levels are incredibly creative, and the musical score is deeply moving. What’s more, the titular ‘simple story’ is heartfelt and elegantly told. Minor frustrations aside, this is a lovely little tale that’s easy to recommend.

La représentation, les mécaniques, les différents propos... La forme et le fond d'Arise : A Simple Story sont effectivement... simples. Ce qui n'a pas empêché Piccolo Studio de proposer une expérience aussi ravissante artistiquement que forte émotionnellement. En dépit de problèmes de maniabilité qui freinent brutalement et trop souvent une progression plaisante et naturelle, le jeu parvient à transporter le joueur du début à la fin, créant grâce à son visuel, ses musiques et ses puzzles, un lien d'empathie solide avec ce vieil homme, dont l'existence n'aura, elle, pas été si simple. Une des très bonnes surprises de la fin 2019.

El apartado artístico, sus mecánicas con el tiempo y su chorro de emociones son los pilares donde se sostiene Arise: A Simple Story. No nos va a dar un reto, pero nos ofrece una experiencia muy intensa que enseña mas que entretiene, y eso, a veces, es muy necesario.

La muerte hace que el protagonista repase su vida y, lo que más claro he sacado del juego, encuentre paz interior. Esa que sientes cuando acabas un trabajo y estás orgulloso de él, repito, con sus partes malas y sus partes buenas. Y sí, un trabajo puede ser desde un texto, hasta el desarrollo de un videojuego, incluso una vida entera.
