With patches and patience, Gothic 1 Remake could become essential. Right now, it is a promising and frustrating experience in roughly equal measure.

Blades of Fire is an action RPG following its own rules and trying to be something else, even though the similarity with the Souls titles and their influence is something it cannot escape from. However, the unique fighting mechanics, paired with the original weapon management, are enough to make this game very intriguing and to make it stand out in the sea of titles that mindlessly try to be like every other game out there.

The Spirit of the Samurai is a game full of great ideas that, unfortunately, fail to shine due to poor execution. The game is held back by terribly unresponsive controls, poorly implemented enemy AI, and developer promises that fall far short of expectations. These shortcomings, among others, ultimately make it difficult for me to recommend this game.

Creatures of Ava brings us some high-quality ideas that can be really interesting at the start, but the execution often falls short. These ideas tend to become repetitive, making the game sometimes even steer towards monotony. Coupled with a story that should tie everything together but isn't particularly convincing, it raises the question of whether the developers truly achieved their vision with Creatures of Ava.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy breathes new life into the stealth genre, filling a void left by the absence of more substantial titles. Its remarkably simple yet effective stealth mechanics will draw you into its addictive gameplay.
