A charming folklore adventure with heart, colour and creativity, held back only by a few rough edges. Manairons is a charming 2.5D adventure with lovely art, creative puzzles and a cosy folklore setting. The town of Vilamont is fun to explore, the bosses stand out and the flute melodies add personality. Some rough edges hold it back, like basic combat, tricky jump readability and a few performance issues, but it remains an enjoyable and imaginative little journey.

Overall, UFOPHILIA plays well for the most part and has many similarities to Phasmophobia in its mechanics. However, it could use some additional polish in places, the addition of multiplayer would be welcomed, and a friendlier tutorial area which allows you to learn the equipment would make the learning curve a little easier.

In short, The Last Case of John Morley is a short narrative-driven adventure game with a gripping story. It only took me 3 hours to finish it, but it was captivating, and I believe these developers can do a lot better in the future

Moonlighter 2 proves that running a shop can be just as thrilling as raiding a dungeon.

Anima: Gate of Memories I&II is an attempt to revive a franchise that wasn’t well received at the time, but became some sort of cult classic, likely thanks to its fanbase. I have to say that I understand why both of these outcomes occurred, as it is a game with a very interesting world and story, charismatic characters and strong art direction and soundtrack. However, it still suffers from clunky controls, overwhelming bosses and unbalanced gameplay at times, despite this being a re-release.

For the pricetag of £2.49, The Cabin Factory does its job and provides an hour or two of enjoyable playtime. It’s a short but sweet experience for those who enjoy both horror and ‘spot the difference’ types of games. However, it could have included improved scares and more anomalies to make the overall objective that much harder to complete.

Ambidextro is a game that you can sum up in a few words: retro puzzle insanity. You will find yourself grinding your teeth; you will also find yourself patting your own back as you complete yet another level and promising yourself that just one more shot will be fine; you can stop to sleep any time you feel like it. I don’t know if Ambidextro will be a game for everyone, but for those of us who like a bit of a retro challenge, it’s a fun wee game indeed.

A Short Flight with a lot of bugs. I really wanted to like Mika and the Witch’s Mountain as it’s exactly the type of game I normally enjoy, but the many bugs and weird collision detection gave me more headaches than satisfaction. There are some nice ideas here, so it’s a shame there is so much standing in the way for me to enjoy them.

Naiad is a relaxing, soothing game that will swim warm circles around your heart if you let it. It’s an extremely satisfying game to just explore at your own pace, with the only frustrations coming from my own completionist urges and some design decisions that feel like they are going against the stream of such a playthrough. The gorgeous visuals and enchanting music alone makes this a recommended play. The fact that it actually calms down my children is a bonus side-effect!

Stars in the Trash is a wonderful game, and as I mentioned, a piece of art in its own right. You start off feeling like, “Oh, this is fun, I’m a cat knocking things over,” but as you progress, you get deeper and deeper into this mindset that you feel like you know exactly what this cat is feeling and thinking. I very rarely find a game that makes me stop and think every few moments about what it’s like for animals out on the streets, and I have a lot of appreciation for Valhalla Cats for their work in bringing much-needed funding to animal shelters. In conclusion, get this game, play it, enjoy it, and remember to donate to your local shelters.

Neva is a short emotional adventure with canvas-worthy art design and a beautiful soundtrack that I instantly added to my spotify playlist. The platforming gameplay is tight, the combat is simple yet satisfying and the relationship between you and your titular antlered wolf pet feels incredibly wholesome.

Bluey The Videogame faithfully captures the show’s charm, offering a delightful interactive episode experience. While young gamers will relish every moment, the fun ends a little too quickly. Lio & Fé give it two thumbs (or paws) up!

It’s a balanced platformer that’s sure to scratch that collecting itch, wrapped in a neat island adventure package.

Peppa Pig: World Adventures is the perfect introduction to videogames for kids. It’s a point & pig adventure with simple controls and instructions, set in a world they already love. It stays true to the source material and feels like actual playable episodes. The kids love it.

In a time where cutting-edge graphics and high performance rule the roost in the gaming world, there is definitely still a place for arcade classics such as Super Woden GP. The gameplay is smooth, the audio is fulfilling and the visuals hold plenty of charm and nostalgia. There is progression included in the form of unlocking extra vehicles and races as you make your way further into the game. A nice little addition to both the arcade and racing genres for those who want something that’s not your typical AAA title.

Endling – Extinction is Forever is a beautiful and emotional story about survival that will leave you in tears. There are moments of sadness and scenes full of heart-warming joy, but one thing is certain: this game will move you.

Pushy and Pully in Blockland is a hard to recommend game. I did enjoy the gameplay sometimes, and the art style is really cute, but the annoying controls, random difficulties, and boring bosses have too much of an impact on the game.

My excitement about Onirike lasted throughout the entire game. There were a few hiccups along the way, like bugs, difficult enemies, and clumsy controls, but even with these, Onirike remains a wonderful and bizarre adventure that you have to try out!

Super Magbot is a super fun. It offers some unique gameplay, cute graphics, and an exciting soundtrack. However, I cannot stress this enough: it’s super challenging, and if you don’t have a lot of patience, this is not the game for you. If you do like a (big ass) challenge: go for it!

If you are looking for the perfect couch co-op game to play with your friends, or with your kids, then Magic Twins is a game that you can buy without regret. It checks all the boxes for me when it comes down to deserving a full recommendation. So if you still have doubts about this precious gem, go and check out some gameplay. Super Sports Blast is a fun sports game. Its strength lies in its simplicity, because it’s easy to play, and you’ll get the hang of it right away. I would’ve loved to see some new features though, because now it feels a little as if this game doesn’t really have a purpose.

Tiny Lands is a cute, relaxing game. Every level is different, and even when pictures look easy, you’ll be up for a challenge. I can definitely recommend this game! I only played for a few hours, but I can’t wait to gradually discover the other pictures and differences!

Summer in Mara comes on Steam and the Nintendo Switch. If you have either of those, I strongly recommend you go get it right away. This game is a real gem and I enjoyed every second of it. Even though the music sometimes cuts out, the soundtrack is just wonderful, so that flaw is easily forgiven. The elaborate story, beautiful graphics, three well executed key mechanics, and enjoyable quests make Summer in Mara definitely one of my favourite games of 2020, if not my favourite (but who can tell, we’re only halfway through the year). The game is also coming to the Xbox One and the PS4 later this year, by the way.

Reventure is a relaxing, yet exciting game that will easily keep you interested! The simple game idea combined with the fun 100 ways to die create an awesome game experience you should definitely check out! Pixelatto made one kick-ass game, and is selling it at such a low price, I am truly amazed. You shouldn’t even be worried about the repetitive part because buying this game is definitely money well spent!

It feels like this could have been better. For the amount of content it gives, the price seems fair, you can’t get much better at this price range. But still, the polish felt a bit off. Though to give them credit, it did still give me that old arcade vibe from way back when arcades were still a thing, and space invaders were still present before it got replaced by fancier games. Though not the best game out there, it sure could’ve been worse. So heck, you might want to give it a shot if you have some spare change still laying around and you don’t have anything else to spend it on.

A very niche game, with a very difficult gameplay. It has a good amount of content that adds a great value for the game. Its cute characters and items add some good variety for the gameplay. The only problem I see is that only a small number of players will enjoy it. As I only started to have fun with the game after investing a good time on it, I’m afraid most of the players won’t resist the hard initial first stages until some variation starts to temper the game. For those who are up for the challenge, I’m sure you’re going to have a good time with Super Hyperactive Ninja.

I had a little bit too much annoying feelings while playing 8DAYS but I’m sure some gamers will absolutely adore this game. The visuals and sound are a pure joy but for me gameplay was fun but also frustrating and unfairly difficult.

It’s cool to see cheap games on Xbox One but being cheap doesn’t mean you should bring out something unpolished and repetitive. It’s far from the worst game I played on Xbox but falls short to be better than average. You could still try it out for yourself, it’s only three dollar for the game.

While Kyurinaga’ s Revenge is pretty average it still positively surprised me. It’s way better than the previous efforts from developer RECO, giving me renewed trust for the developer’s future.  For now, this latest game is recommendable for local co-op players and 2D platforming fans.

Stories of Bethem: Full Moon is a good game with a few shortcomings. Gamers won’t regret buying it but in a few years you don’t really remember what it was about. I’m curious to see if the developer will continue with the franchise because it has potential to become something better.
