Frank and Drake has enough style, personality, and intrigue to keep players coming back for more, chasing every single permutation of the game’s many choices.

GRIS is not only a perfectly designed puzzle-platformer, it's a title that whisks the player away on a journey of colorful catharsis. Surprises are waiting around every corner of this ever-evolving world, and its stride remains strong, from the onset until the very end.

The Red Strings Club asks you to be quiet and just think for a bit. I can’t say that I was blown away emotionally; indeed very little actually happens when it comes down to it. Yet everything clearly matters to the characters involved. Their realism, and the ability to see how their emotions change them, all while questioning the concept of happiness makes it a title worth experiencing. Some may wish for a little more variety in later playthroughs, but hey, it only takes three hours, so there’s no real excuse for not giving it a go.

Rise & Shine has a lot of interesting ideas to keep players on their toes. It’s just a shame that some of the fun turns sour due to repeated puzzles and poor gun accuracy.

Anima: Gate of Memories is a classic example of a developer trying to create something bigger than they're capable of. The game attempts to be a grand RPG with platforming and puzzles, and yet it fails to pull off any of those mechanics off.

Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing simply isn't as fun, or as polished, as it strives to be. There was cetainly potential here, but it's not realized due to mechanical issues that make playing the game a slog.

The Guest tests an array of mental abilities throughout the three hours it lasts. But when buying into “a first-person exploration game,” you don’t expect this many plot holes.

With its minimal content and cars that prove impossible to control, Rock 'N Racing Off Road DX butchers the arcade action that Super Off Road perfected in the ‘90s.

Super Toy Cars is not a good game. It's mechanically flawed, unfinished and generally more frustrating than it is fun. So, unless you're itching for a new tabletop racing game and happen to be willing to overlook such issues, this is one to avoid.

A neo-noir aesthetic, gruesome investigations, and pending showdown between Eliot Ness and superhuman cultists separate “The End of Peace” from its genre rivals. However, awkward dialogue pauses, no worthwhile choices, and an inexplicable alternate timeline stop this episode from surpassing them.

Here’s the rundown: the gameplay is bad, the sound design is bad, the controls are bad, the story is bad, the actual programming is bad, and the art is occasionally good. Aside from turning bland characters into bland vegetables, Yasai Ninja has nothing to offer. No original thought has been put into the design, the writing is bland exposition, and much of the game hardly works. I had hoped to find some quirky little gem hiding behind a neat idea that would balance humor with a short jaunt of arcadey action. Rather, I got a month old onion lazily thrown at my face.

In the end, Tachyon Project is a half-decent game that will appeal most to a select group of gamers. Despite boasting a unique take on incurred damage, the title’s slower pace and occasionally dull engagements hold it back from being as good as it could’ve been.

Boasting addicting gameplay and tight mechanics, Spy Chameleon provides more than enough content to justify its cheap price tag.

Still, there’s not much to Funk of Titans. After my first play session, I realized that this is a game that could be ported to smartphones very easily, and would probably be better received on those devices. The final product has some fun moments, but its gameplay ends up routine, its presentation lacks pizazz, and there’s no real hook to draw players in. If you enjoy auto-running games and like the idea of playing one on Microsoft’s latest console, it might be worth a look, but the general public should wait for a price drop.

Randal's Monday has many things going against it, but fans of Clerks, Jeff Anderson, and unrelenting geek culture references will find a hardcore point-and-click adventure with plenty of storyline to justify its $25 price tag.
