Denshattack! transforms an unlikely concept, performing skateboard tricks with high-speed trains, into one of the year's most inventive indie experiences. Its satisfying trick system, varied boss encounters, stylish presentation, vibrant visuals, and excellent soundtrack create a gameplay loop that remains consistently engaging, while more than 50 stages and numerous optional objectives provide strong replay value. The story, however, relies on familiar battle shonen tropes and forgettable characters, serving mostly as a backdrop for the action. Despite its narrative shortcomings, Denshattack! delivers an original and addictive gameplay experience that stands out through creativity and execution.
