YOUR HOUSE es una experiencia literaria jugable que aporta todo lo bueno de la literatura y de los videojuegos, donde leer es jugar, y jugar es leer, y eso hace que siempre queramos seguir para descubrir los secretos de la casa junto a Debbie, mientras resolvemos acertijos y puzles con diferentes herramientas donde prima una interacción algo acotada, pero que siempre nos dará sorpresas y momentos de reflexión.

Your House is a game that I can happily say will be another one of those gems in this little corner of the gaming world. The style, the story, the puzzles – everything blends seamlessly together in a way that makes for a nice, satisfying game. And what makes this game even more wild to me? In the process of writing up my review, I found out that it’s based on a real-life Manhattan apartment. Bravo, Patrones & Escondites, bravo!

Your House é uma aventura textual interativa que consegue mesclar puzzles inteligentes a uma narrativa que prende do início ao fim. Mesmo com uma duração relativamente curta — aproximadamente dez horas (ou até menos, se você não travar em alguns puzzles como eu) —, temos aqui um prato cheio para quem gosta de uma excelente história de suspense em que nada parece ser o que é — nem mesmo a sua própria casa, isto é, se ela realmente for sua.

En una aventura de misterio en una "casa-puzle", tendremos novela, cómic, ilustraciones, point & click y aventura gráfica clásica, donde la base de todo son los continuos desafíos y rompecabezas a resolver, muy bien integrados con el avance de la historia y la ambientación de misterio y noir propuesta. El mundo del videojuego está lleno de sorpresas con títulos que no sabes de donde ni cuando han salido, y que te ganan por su calidad y gran trabajo, como pasará con YOUR HOME.

By the end, I wasn’t just satisfied I was genuinely impressed. It’s rare to find a game that handles storytelling this well without falling into predictable patterns or relying on cheap tricks. YOUR HOUSE is a haunting, beautifully crafted experience that I won’t forget anytime soon. Whether you’re a fan of mystery games, visual novels, or just unique indie titles give it a shot. It might just surprise you.

Your House presents a memorable narrative in a unique way, with the game feeling like reading a good book. Coupled with a wide variety of puzzles and a great protagonist, Your House is a game worth your time.

Despite a bit of clunky translation and its rather brief runtime, Your House feels like it could be the beginning of something great. Whereas many puzzle-heavy games are quick to give extra clues when it’s clear that the player is struggling, this title asks more. It makes you slow down, and each time something finally clicks, the dopamine rush is more than worth the effort. If the team at Patrones & Escondites end up creating more incredibly satisfying mystery games in this same style, it would be hard not to buy them on launch day.

Your House succeeds in delivering a rich and immersive narrative experience, supported by challenging puzzles and a striking visual style. Despite some minor frustrations with navigation and puzzle difficulty, the game’s engaging writing and constant sense of suspense made it hard to put down.

YOUR HOUSE is a brilliantly creative text-based narrative puzzle game that uses every tool at its disposal to remain as interactive as possible while still delivering a great narrative in the form of a digitized novel.

So, to sum up, if you're into puzzles, writing down all the details in a notebook to remember everything, and love these kinds of adventures, we would definitely recommend it. And even though it has its pros and cons, it's a game that delivers what it promises, in a short period of time, for people who don't want stories that last over 40 hours. Anyone who loves a good mental challenge will find themselves in the target audience for this title.

The story of the rebellious Debbie in a mansion full of secrets is captivating, and the puzzles require attention to detail and out-of-the-box thinking. Your House is a competent mystery game that suffers from its own ambition. Its central reading mechanic adds flavor to the experience, and it offers a decent variety of puzzles to keep players engaged. However, the narrative lacks bite, and the difficulty will be a turn-off for some. If you don’t mind a “just okay” story and are open to some wonky solutions, Your House offers some unique puzzle thrills. But just don’t expect a revelatory experience.

‘Your House’ is a short visual novel with well-designed puzzles and a clever hint system if you get stuck, but constant backtracking and a predictable story hold it back. Minor technical issues, like typos and a late-game bug, also detract from the experience.

The third of the game’s five chapters in particular is truly wonderful, presenting a warren of secret corridors and a series of interconnected puzzles that are particularly satisfying to solve with the help of night vision goggles that can reveal hidden writing. But sadly the game can’t quite keep up this pace to the end, and despite the odd flash of brilliance, the quality of the final puzzles never quite reaches the height of those in the middle of the game. The plot, too, fizzles out unsatisfyingly, with a solution to the house’s mystery that seems obvious and yet doesn’t make much sense when held up to scrutiny. Still, the idea of a house with conundrums built into its very fabric remains tantalising: I couldn’t help but give my own house a sweep after playing, just on the off-chance there might be a previously unnoticed hidden message or two.

Your House sets itself apart from other point-and-click adventures with its interactive text-based approach to puzzles and its beautiful artwork. Some of the brainteasers can be ragequit-inducing despite the Hint system, but if you're looking for a different kind of challenge when pointing and clicking, then your mileage may vary.

YOUR HOUSE is a strong, inventive experience that stumbles occasionally along the way due in large part to its ambitious design. Though the rough edges sometimes take away from the enjoyment and impact of the story, the strong portrayal of the lead character, Debbie, helps make this a mystery worth unravelling.

YOUR HOUSE offers a graphically quite simple concept, where you almost get the idea that you are playing an old Flash game, where you also have clicking points that take you to the next frame. The illustrations are very nicely done, but all this is slightly limited by the fact that the game only fills a frame of your screen, and not the entire screen. YOUR HOUSE also requires a lot of perseverance. You can ask for hints of course, but even with that you sometimes really have to figure out what the solution is. However, if you really like reading, digging deep and solving puzzles, then this is undoubtedly a great adventure for you. With about five hours of gameplay, including research and a lot of trying and thinking, you will be busy with this narrative game for quite a while.

Your House is a short game, clocking in at about three hours to beat it all in one go, and with five clearly separated chapters if you want to play in small bursts, but because of that, you notice the time to take walking back and forth in tunnels, not being able to take the turns you want to take but having to guess or remember the entire layout and each room's name. This, combined with puzzles that seem to solve themselves and the strained narrative, drag down any enjoyment the individual problem solving might have granted. Your House is a good facsimile of an escape room, but the flaws only become more apparent in the digital realm.

Patrones & Escondites' Your House stumbles in the most important thing, the puzzles. You are too often left feeling frustrated when you spend too much time on a particular puzzle. However, as a concept, it is interesting and in some ways also unique, which is supported by the clever audiovisual design.

YOUR HOUSE es una sorprendente obra narrativa llena de misterios y con mensajes potentes y llenos de sentido, de esas que se disfrutan sin prisas, con una taza de café en la mano. Ideal para los amantes de la lectura y de la resolución de rompecabezas y enigmas tipo escape room. Sentirte atrapado entre cuatro paredes y usar el intelecto como arma para escapar es un recurso muy satisfactorio para el jugador. Pero si además lo hace en un entorno lleno de arte y con una estética tipo comic noir tan atractiva la experiencia se disfruta mucho más.

He disfrutado mucho mi recorrido por esta misteriosa casa, tomando notas y pensando en lo que tenía que hacer después de anotar códigos, dibujos o posibles claves en mi cuaderno. Es un título que podemos jugar del tirón, en un día, o bien dosificarlo para poder saborearlo mejor. Sea como fuere, este libro interactivo hará las delicias de toda aquella persona que disfrute con los desafíos y tomando notas. 

What else can I say? I’m in love with YOUR HOUSE. I think it’s a stunning amalgamation of everything I love about good video games and good stories. It feels so good to play, so good to beat the puzzles, and is such an interesting story, I will be singing its praises to anyone who will listen for quite a while.
