Abysmal game breaking bugs destroy any opportunity A Pizza Delivery had to be a good indie. Progress preventing issues plagued my playthrough, with visual bugs leaving the game’s pretty environments and textures to pop in and out so badly I often couldn’t see the way forward. Whilst bugs can be forgiven for a solo-developer who likely has limited QA testing options, A Pizza Delivery needed more time in the oven and simply should not be launching in the state of the build I was provided.

All in all, Tiny Lands Deluxe Edition is a delightful, soothing experience that should happily find its home in your collection on PS5 or Xbox Series if you are looking to relax and enjoy a bit of mindful fun.

During the best of times, it felt like a game that was a school project. At some of the worst times, it felt like a game that I’m not sure who it was made for. Maybe there is a subset of gamers that really enjoy on the rail gun games, or maybe those who just want a very quick shooter. Either way, in a year that has been incredibly competitive with games unfortunately Candy Rangers does not rank highly.

Is This Seat Taken? is truly a little hidden gem of a game that was an absolute pleasure to dip my toes (and ultimately whole self) into. The aesthetics, the comical exchanges between characters, and the truly rewarding feeling and getting 100% of the thumbs up from the little shapes in your seating arrangement. All were great!

Short length aside, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is one of the most enjoyable games of the year. It’s a great retro revival with two protagonists I hope return and if Ninja Gaiden 4 is anywhere near this good, the franchise may be firing on all cylinders again.

Bambas! is a game unlike anything I’ll probably ever play again. It’s a short indie with a lot of ideas and gameplay designed for the missions given to players. Unfortunately, there are two fundamental problems – the repetitive trigger spamming and camera angle – that prevented me from having a good experience. It’s unfortunate as some of these issues would have likely been flagged with some extra playtesting.

From the puzzles to customization, Instants truly was a game made with players who like a little of both in mind. But Instants goes beyond just solving puzzles. It reminds us to focus on preserving the good stuff. To remember the fleeting moments that have built a beautiful life.

There’s a few level design issues that made some areas a little more frustrating than fun and occasionally there’s maybe a few too many enemies in one area for the pace of the combat and the story can suffer a bit in pacing and tone. But, all in all, it’s a fun experience that showcases that sometimes less is more when it comes to gameplay, and that a distinct one done well can be all you need. Even weapon durability.

Tiny Garden scratches the itch of nostalgia, while fostering carefree gameplay. And no matter how you play, this palm sized personal garden makes you appreciate the small details.

Your House is a game that I can happily say will be another one of those gems in this little corner of the gaming world. The style, the story, the puzzles – everything blends seamlessly together in a way that makes for a nice, satisfying game. And what makes this game even more wild to me? In the process of writing up my review, I found out that it’s based on a real-life Manhattan apartment. Bravo, Patrones & Escondites, bravo!

The Stone of Madness looks gorgeous, planning around the prisoners’ strengths and phobias makes for an intense stealth adventure that is ruined by bugs. I would rather smash my face against brutal enemies than succumb to glitches, which is how I felt my time with The Stone of Madness has been spent.

Although graphically impressive and it does manage to tell a decent story, Neon Blood’s gameplay may prove to be too lacking for any RPG fan. The game has the makings for a great adventure game if it were a couple hours longer perhaps but, it’s bare bones and unchallenging gameplay left quite a lot to be desired.

Creatures of Ava is a fun, delightful breath of fresh air deeply rooted in experiences that have warmed the hearts of many before. With some polish, and factoring out the negatives, Creatures of Ava has the potential to be a truly remarkable experience. Gamers should look forward to playing on August 7th 2024 via purchase or download if subscribed to Xbox Gamepass Ultimate. It is also available on Steam.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Horror Tales: The Beggar and wait with my telekinesis ready for the next installment.

The game gives off a great dark and futuristic vibe. If your looking for a good, but short, point and click puzzle game this one could be for you. I certainly found my time with it to be enjoyable.

I don’t want to discuss too much as the game is short and players should enjoy the story without spoilers. I definitely would recommend this game.
