Creo que está más que claro que The Longest Road On Earth ha logrado conectar conmigo. Esto se trata de una experiencia muy personal, es divertido, es bonito y deja un gran mensaje.

En esos momentos en que la vida se pone dura, son este tipo de cosas los que te hacen recapacitar y darte cuenta de lo increíble que puede tornarse todo si piensas las cosas con otra perspectiva. A fin de cuentas, ninguno de nosotros sabe realmente por qué está aquí, simplemente vamos con la corriente.

Es difícil hablar de The Longest Road on Earth porque el juego ya habla lo suficientemente bien y con contundencia de sí mismo. Como poco, cualquier persona podrá apreciar su atmosférica y potente banda sonora, su medido ritmo narrativo y su detallista dibujo pixel art.

En definitiva y siendo sincero, hay que reconocer que The Longest Road on Earth no es un juego para cualquier jugador. Hay que tener muchas horas de videojuegos, una mente muy abierta, y conocer realmente el medio artístico en el que está uno metido, para ser capaz de valorar esta joya.

The Longest Road on Earth es otra preciosa forma de experimentar al mundo de los videojuegos el dejarse seducir por una conmovedora banda de sonido y la teatralidad de sus escenas. No hay mucho tras del juego. Lo amas o lo odias. Definitivamente, no es para todo el mundo, pero quienes buscan algo diferente descubrirán un “juego” reflexivo y especial, que no teme en contemplar el vacío del silencio.

The Longest Road on Earth is likely going to be a hit-or-miss for players since this kind of unconventional approach to gaming won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. A lo largo de esta historia capitular experimentamos el hastío de la rutina y, ante una narración minimalista y sin distracciones, nos quedamos a solas con nuestros pensamientos y reflexiones. Historias acertadas, en particular el último capítulo, que nos acerca al crecimiento y maduración de un niño. Ritmo narrativo y transiciones acertadas que se funden a la perfección con una banda sonora exquisita. No obstante, por su falta de interactividad, The Longest Road on Earth no es un juego para todos los públicos y, por supuesto, no pretende serlo.

The Longest Road on Earth es una pequeña obra narrativa, en la que podrás interpretar a tu manera las seis historias que te presenta. Todas ellas estarán divididas en cuatro capítulos y durará aproximadamente dos horas.

Even so, The Longest Road on Earth is still relatively successful. Its unique and interesting gimmick allows it to reach places that other indie games have yet to travel, although it does fall into limitations with just how engaging it can be thanks to its pacing and self-inflicted restrictive nature. Nonetheless, fans of character-centric experimental works will likely want to give this a go, and it's a useful blueprint for potential future innovation, too.

By simply being an interactive experience, ‘The Longest Road on Earth’ won’t be for everyone, but if you’re a fan of the genre or want some ‘chill out time’, or even just want something to serve as food for reminiscent thoughts, I implore you to find a moment to take a stroll down this road. If nothing else, it’s a reminder to stop and smell the roses every once in a while. Life’s too short not to.

Musiche e immagini raccontano quattro brevi storie dove tutti potranno ritrovarsi, dove tutti potranno sentirsi capiti. Vite normali, banali, forse poco significative; ma straordinariamente umane e mosse da sentimenti unici, che tra cambi di prospettive, gioie represse e costanti ricerche di equilibri nella precarietà dell'esistenza, sapranno farvi sentire parte di un'umanità che ha un disperato bisogno di vera e intima condivisione.

La música emocional junto con imágenes aparentemente intuitivas hicieron que  The Longest Road on Earth fuera  capaz de transmitir su mensaje a su audiencia. Puede que este no sea el título más divertido y de mayor duración que juegas, pero si te gustan los títulos basados en la música y la historia y buscas una experiencia corta y relajante, esta es una buena opción.

The Longest Road On Earth da lugar a tantas interpretaciones diferentes que tal vez se queda en la nada o quizás sea vuestro juego revelación. Su banda sonora da pie a ello y la voz de Beícoli da sentimiento a cada nota acompañado de unos paisajes meticulosos que invitarán a la reflexión. Su mayor problema es el ritmo de situaciones y eventos que vamos viviendo porque no tienen consistencia y peso como para facilitar su interpretación. Aun así, es un juego que creemos que trata muy bien el hecho de considerar a todas las personas como iguales y reflexionar sobre el hecho de que cada vida es un mundo al que le debemos guardar respeto.

The Longest Road on Earth es una experiencia tan cautivadora como espinosa. Un juego que tiene muy poco de juego, una forma de plantear varias historias con una participación muy limitada del jugador. Y un trabajo visual, sonoro y narrativo muy especial que tocará y emocionará a quien conecte con él.

And yet, emotional exhaustion seems as viable of a takeaway as any. After all, the small things we use to get through our days, to cope with the perpetual thrum of unexcitement in lives lived conservatively, do eventually fade into routine. We grow tired of the phone game we bought or that playlist we made and we find ourselves ready for the next thing, which tends to be similarly fleeting. By the time the credits roll for The Longest Road on Earth, I was more than ready to move on, but maybe that doesn’t have to be a criticism because it speaks to its own sort of emotional truth.

The Longest Road On Earth is no doubt a stirring yet minimalist aesthetic experience with a superb original soundtrack to accompany. Those who are artistically sensitive will certainly find the short play-through to be a meaningful one. Better yet, you will be awarded a platinum trophy just for completing the story. Unfortunately the very few actual interactive parts of The Longest Road On Earth don't arise any enjoyment. Comprised almost entirely of very slow and unchallenged walking, it's difficult to classify this title as a real video game.

Oei oei, The Longest Road on Earth. Wat had ik deze game graag een goede beoordeling gegeven. Er zijn genoeg goede dingen over de game te zeggen. Daartegenover staan echter ook heel wat minder sterke punten. De passie spat van het scherm af, maar uiteindelijk is de gameplay zelfs voor een interactieve film te karig. Dat heeft ertoe geleid dat ik niet van de game heb kunnen genieten. Tot rust ben ik helaas ook niet gekomen. Dat doe ik pas als de soundtrack op Spotify staat en ik onder het genot van een mok thee mijn social media-berichten ophaal. Sommige mensen worden wellicht blij van deze game. Ik helaas niet.
