While I personally became disengaged after a few hours, the plethora of modes and content for children, along with the overall quality of the experience, make it a great sports game for any wee ones to enjoy. NBA Bounce is a fun, colourful, and accessible basketball game that’s perfect for younger players or those looking for some multiplayer mayhem. Its simple controls and chaotic Party Mode make it a joy in multiplayer, and whilst it doesn’t have online play or an in-depth solo experience, playing with friends is ALWAYS a blast. The only real downside (and it’s a pretty big one) is the high price, which feels a bit steep for what’s on offer. But if you’ve got a fat wallet (or catch it at a discount), it’s well worth picking up for some light-hearted basketball fun.

What you have here is a very stripped down basketball game. It’s not detailed, doesn’t look amazing (though it runs at a phenomenal framerate), but for the intended audience, I think NBA Bounce is a pretty good entry port for newcomers and kids. What really matters is that it’s easygoing, responsive, completely devoid of microtransactions, and great to pick up and play.

The gameplay and scope of the modes never elevates that far past competency, though. I left this game wanting a little bit more out of it, but I had a fun time playing it while the fun lasted. With the right local crowd, this could be a recurring arcade sports game, but outside of that, this is a sixth man of a basketball game - it's a good complement more so than the main attraction.
