Detective - The Test es, sin duda alguna, la entrega de Detective que más nos ha hecho pensar y más logrados tiene los escenarios, con momentos incluso en los que hemos pensado que teníamos a alguien detrás (ejem ejem, cierta habitación de la casa). La tensión es palpable en la escena del crimen y así nos lo ha querido transmitir el estudio.

Por otro lado, sí que todavía sentimos que es algo corto (aunque no tanto como The Motel), aunque si nos atascamos en algún caso sí que es posible que su duración aumente notablemente.

As it stands, however, Detective – The Test feels like a rough draft of a better game. While it might briefly entertain die-hard mystery fans willing to work around its many faults, it ultimately struggles to justify its price and presence on console. Hopefully, future updates or a follow-up can build on this concept with more polish, depth, and accessibility.

Detective-the test è un titolo estremamente banale e semplice che non vale assolutamente il suo prezzo. Qualora l’intera serie detective venisse proposta ad un prezzo veramente simbolico potresti valutarne l’acquisto, ma con i suoi tre livelli e una durata veramente esigua oltre che un livello di sfida esigua, The Test non è assolutamente un titolo da consigliare a nessuno.

There is nothing genuinely praiseworthy or notable about Detective - The Test. It's not a game. It's barely an idea for a game. This low-effort, uninspired, and unappealing project may be the latest in a long line of similar titles, but it shouldn't be.

En este aunque el sistema es muy parecido al anterior, son tres casos independientes, pero para resolver el misterio tendremos que ir resolviendo pequeños puzles para ir descubriendo que pasó.  Es muy en la línea con el llamado Motel, pero con escenarios un poco más reducidos. Me ha resultado mucho más gratificante que Scene Crime, pero sí que echo en falta historias como Minerva Case o Stella Porta.

The game improves slightly on its predecessor, but still there’s no case explanation, and you can brute-force solutions. I didn’t need pen and paper, which is why I finished all three scenarios in just 55 minutes. The killer never changes, unlike in recent murder mystery games, reducing replay value. As a genre fan, some murderers and motives felt overly simple.
