Colossus Down cambia por completo de registro para poner fin a una saga muy querida, aunque sin renunciar a ese punto canalla que tanto se valora. Lo potencia al máximo, esta vez acompañado del dinamismo y de ese inesperado jefe final.

It’s a frustrating oversight, especially since Colossus Down begs to be shared. Still, it’s a real treat solo and if you’ve got a twisted sense of humour and a taste for side-scrolling punch ’em ups, you can’t go wrong with Colossus Down.

En definitiva, Colossus Down es un título completo, complejo, divertido, inteligente y hasta atrevido, en este último aspecto puede que radique algo malo, ya que hay momentos en que peca de cruel y sanguinario, pero nada que no se haya visto antes.

Sin lugar a dudas, es un juego muy entretenido, con buen ritmo en general y en su curva de aprendizaje. Ideal para jugarlo tanto solo como en compañía. El humor y los guiños frikis repartidos a lo largo de todo el juego le aportan un toque de frescura que nos hará disfrutarlo de principio a fin. 

Un beat'em up que arriesga y gana en muchas de sus apuestas, pero en otras pierde y falla en algunas cosas básicas. Eso sí, su presentación audivisual y sus personajes saben hacerse notar desde el primer minuto, y nos van a hacer reir seguro.

Colossus Down offers an interesting art style and comedic writing, that all fit well in the wider context of the game. Sadly, it just isn’t enough to carry you through the repetitive and uninspired gameplay. Making it difficult to recommend to newcomers, and established fans alike.

Colossus Down features a grating protagonist going on a childish, fury-fuelled rampage, one with a wide set of levels that don’t have any throughline other than her being inconvenienced. The neat aesthetic can’t cover for shoddy-feeling combat and ill-instructed puzzle segments that sadly are further bogged-down by an endless stream of blathering by Nika, who has an infinite store of smugness. With so many great brawlers on Switch old and new that include sound fighting, killer soundtracks, and charming characters and worlds, Colossus Down should stay in the scrap pile.

Colossus Down is genuinely funny, but it's gameplay just isn't good enough to compete with other Beat'em ups.

With a bit more variation to its gameplay, Colossus Down could have been an easy recommendation. Despite its unlikeable main protagonist, there’s a heap of potential here that could well be realised if the developer decides to go for a sequel. As it is, it’s a great looking game that unfortunately falls foul to repetitive and shallow gameplay.

Me ha encantado Colossus Down, aunque también es cierto que ha juntado tres elementos que me apasionan: beat ‘em up, gore y humor absurdo. Era difícil que no me atrapasen. Si te gustan estas cosas, pues este juego está hecho para ti. Cumple con lo prometido y destroza los estándares a golpe de cañoazo de muñeca. Y lo hace muy bien. Flaquea en la profundidad de su argumento y a veces se pierde a sí mismo en el ritmo de los puzles, los minijuegos, los diálogos y el gameplay, pero en líneas generales lo borda. La simpleza de su argumento, desde mi perspectiva, es uno de sus puntos fuertes. La jugabilidad, aunque «repetitiva», es adtictiva y divertida. Entretiene. Mola. Sin más. Mola mucho.
