Through all the beauty and bloodshed, Blasphemous 2 is a game that demonstrates why the pixel style endures and should be recognised as one of the best-looking games of the year. As you find yourself entrenched in its eerie environs, you will undoubtedly find it hard to put down.

Blasphemous 2 is a huge improvement upon its predecessor in just about every conceivable way; it’s a beautifully crafted adventure that might as well be the best of its kind this year.

Blasphemous was a brutally tough Metroidvania. The sequel hits just as hard in every way but with a smoother difficulty curve and an outstanding first act.

Overall, I really like Blasphemous 2. It has some rough edges, particularly with the bugs I’ve reported like a room that randomly killed me, which I have reported to the devs and the post-boss freeze. However, the art style is macabre yet beautiful, and despite my frustrations at times, the gameplay feels smooth and enjoyable. It plays surprisingly well on Nintendo Switch too. If you liked the first game or you like games like Hollow Knight and Ender Lillies, Blasphemous 2 is something that should be on your radar.

Blasphemous 2 es toda una obra de arte en varios sentidos, tanto a nivel artístico, como jugable, veremos escenarios cargados de detalles, enemigos variados, y haremos uso de las diferentes armas para ver todo lo que ofrece el combate. La exploración es muy satisfactoria, pero la historia es algo enrevesada, y el nivel de dificultad general ha disminuido con respecto a la anterior entrega, pero estamos ante un metroidvania sobresaliente.

En definitiva, un metroidvania a la altura de los más grandes. Que puede mirar de cara a los mayores referentes del género y que lo hace con una fórmula propia con mucho estilo, mucha clase y sobre todo, mucho buen gusto. Un metroidvania divertido, con un gameplay retador y satisfactorio y una enciclopedia de \\\"bosses\\\" que lo elevan a cotas muy top. Tanto si os va el género como si no, de verdad, Blasphemous 2 merece, y mucho, ser jugado. Dadle un tiento porque no os vais a equivocar.

La segunda entrega de la saga Blasphemous trae de vuelta a El Penitente, con una historia que arranca tras los eventos narrados en el DLC gratuito Wounds of Eventide del juego original, donde se anunció el regreso del Milagro y se profetizó el nacimiento de un nuevo mesías. Tras despertar en un lugar nuevo y extraño, interrumpiendo su descanso final, El Penitente vuelve a ser arrojado al interminable ciclo de vida, muerte y resurrección

Blasphemous 2 se consagra como um dos melhores metroidvanias disponíveis no mercado. Dos visuais impecáveis aos aprimoramentos na jogabilidade, a única blasfêmia real aqui é não aproveitar esta sequência cuidadosamente preparada pela The Game Kitchen. Então levante e aceite seu destino, Penitente: o destino de Cvstodia está novamente em suas mãos (e essa felizmente é uma ótima notícia).

Blasphemous II crafts an intricate and satisfying world that is only accentuated by the gorgeously gruesome art. The Penitent One feels better to control than ever, and the amount of choice you have over your attacks and abilities compliments the game’s punishing combat brilliantly. Despite some niggles, Blasphemous II is a Metroidvania masterclass and an incredibly confident sequel.

Blasphemous 2 sticks with the exquisitely dark and gory style of its predecessor whilst building on the core combat and improving upon the platforming we saw the first time around. The Game Kitchen could have served us up more of the same and we'd have been perfectly happy. However, they've made meaningful upgrades here, with deeper and more satisfying combat and three upgradable weapon sets that combine perfectly with environmental puzzling that feels more cohesive and fluid overall. The Penitent One's return to Cvstodia is an absolute banger.

Blasphemous II vereint Schmerz und Glück in Perfektion! Ihr werdet so viele Bildschirmtode sehen und trotzdem ausreichend Erfolgserlebnisse und Fortschritte genießen in einer Welt, die vor fantasievoller Abscheulichkeit nur so strotzt. Feinste Pixelkunst, ein messerscharfes Gameplay und vielfältige Upgrade-Systeme sorgen neben einer anspruchsvollen Metroidvania-Welt für stundenlangen Spielspaß mit dem fanatischen Büßer. Der Sound wird sich, wie mancher Gegner oder Boss, festkrallen, doch am Ende seid ihr diejenigen, die vom Tod mächtiger auferstehen, um die komplett ungeführten Geheimnisse von Blasphemous II zu enträtseln.

Blasphemous II es uno de los mejores metroidvania que hemos jugado nunca. Su exquisito apartado audiovisual, su jugabilidad refinada y los grandes retos que suponen sus temibles jefes hacen que este sea un juego de sobresaliente.

Con una dirección de arte increíble, un aspecto visual que lo identifica perfectamente. A pesar de reciclar algunos enemigos y prácticamente la mecánica de vencer tres enemigos para alcanzar el desafío final, no hay mucho espacio para quejarse. 

Extenderse sobre Blasphemous 2 es directamente romper a trozos la increíble experiencia de jugarlo por primera vez y quedar atrapado por su magnífico arte y excelente jugabilidad. Si ya disfrutaste del original, aquí encontraras algo mucho mejor y más accesible. Si te pilla virgen, ya estas tardando en jugarlo. Es, sin duda, uno de los mejores indies de Nintendo Switch y candidato a mejor juego del año.

Blasphemous 2 supera en todo a su predecesor, convirtiéndose así en una nueva joya del desarrollo español y en uno de los mejores metroidvania de los últimos años. Es una auténtica obra de arte que no nos cansamos de contemplar, escuchar y -sobre todo- jugar. Alabado sea el Milagro y alabados sean The Game Kitchen.

At several points in my lengthy journey through the Gothic delight that is Blasphemous 2, I worried the monstrous foe in front of me would spell an end to my journey. But without these frequent frustrations, the triumphs wouldn’t be as great. Blasphemous 2 takes inspiration from those that came before it, but by intertwining a gorgeous art style, enticing exploration, and rewarding combat, it rises above the horde of Castlevania-inspired action titles.

Insomma Blasphemous 2 è un netto passo in avanti rispetto al primo capitolo di cui riprende meccaniche ed estetica andando a migliorarle e portandole a un livello successivo. Il pellegrinaggio del nostro Penitente è violento, difficile e irto di pericoli e non adatto a tutti, infatti a chi cerca un’esperienza più rilassata capiterà di blasphemare più e più volte ma il fascino del titolo sta anche in queste e nella sua capacita di ammaliare e incollare allo schermo.

Todo un poema al mundo de los videojuegos, un homenaje a los antiguos Castlevania y los Darks Souls, aderezado con una de las mejores ambientaciones y más originales que se han visto. ¿Nuestro Análisis de Blasphemous? Obviamente imprescindible.

Blasphemous 2 is a truly stand-out Metroidvania that is an easy recommendation for fans of the original and newcomers alike. From its detailed and fluid animations to its wide assortment of gameplay improvements, Blasphemous 2 is everything a sequel to the already-strong Blasphemous should be. Although it isn’t as consistently challenging as its formidable art direction and clear Soulslike influence would suggest, the core experience of Blasphemous 2 is still something fans of 2D platformers and Metroidvania exploration are sure to greatly appreciate.

Blasphemous 2 enhances all the qualities of its predecessor with more exploration, new weapons and a deeper, more technical and choreographed combat. Although the balance is positive, the Penitent's journey, even with its unmistakable dark atmosphere, seemed more familiar to me than I would have liked, inheriting much from what we had already seen in 2019, when the original game was released.

Improving all three of Blasphemous 2’s new weapons isn’t as simple as pouring in skill points. To unlock tiers 2 and 3 for each, you’ll need to seek out a specific upgrade hidden on the map. This forces you to get to grips with a weapon that might not be your most preferred, as you never know which upgrade you’ll come across next.

Blasphemous 2 è, in poche parole, Blasphemous migliorato sotto ogni punto di vista. Siamo quindi davanti a un metroidvania di stampo classico, arricchito però da una serie di meccaniche che lo rendono profondo e interessante anche per i neofiti del genere.

Blasphemous II es un sádico y desafiante metroidvania que aprovecha el folclore español para construir una atmósfera que absorbe desde el primer segundo. Es más ambicioso que su predecesor, ofreciendo un combate más rico y desafíos más variados, pero se apoya demasiado en ciertos recursos que a veces resultan repetitivos y su críptica historia puede no ser del agrado de todos.

Blasphemous 2 mi ha appassionato, e tanto, ma interpretando il ruolo del recensore devo dichiararmi non completamente soddisfatto.

Blasphemous 2 in definitiva è un buon titolo con punte ottime. Migliora di fatto il primo episodio ma ne eredita quasi tutti i difetti ad iniziare da uno storyline scarso e banalizzante rispetto allo spessore del titolo. Graficamente accattivante perde un po’ del suo appeal in alcune location forzate dagli autori e decisamente fuori contesto sia per logiche che per palette. Il livello di sfida più basso del primo capitolo si attesta poco più in alto della media dei giochi del genere a cui bisogna aggiungere in un giudizio complessivo la poca soddisfazione che si ottiene una volta completate le side-quest. Sicuramente consigliato agli amanti del genere ed a chi ha platinato il primo capitolo con l’accortezza di non cedere alla malinconia dopo le 15 ore in cui il gioco avrà raccontato veramente tutto.

Comme le précédent opus, nous sommes plongés dans un environnement où la religion y est présentée de façon pervertie, malsaine et souvent très dérangeante. Malgré tout, le jeu réussit à attiser notre curiosité. On veut en découvrir toujours davantage, connaître tous les détails, ne rien louper de la narration. Cependant, la difficulté conséquente pourrait être un sérieux frein pour certains, un défi pour d’autres. Blasphemous II a ses chances pour être l’un des meilleurs jeux de l’année 2023 dans sa catégorie metroidvania / souls like.

Despite the numerous additions and subtractions, I found myself addicted to Blasphemous 2. I was constantly scouring the map for new paths or hidden items and enjoying the smooth new movement. The gripes don’t take away from what a vast improvement Blasphemous 2 is from its predecessor. It’s slightly less punishing while polishing up a lot of the rough edges. Right when I started to feel the fatigue is when the game ended. The customization is substantial and the story brings even more rich lore to this world. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Cvstodia and plan on going back to 100% it, after I’ve had a bit of a break. Thank the miracle, this game rules.

Overall, Blasphemous 2 is great. Its difficulty curve is very steep though and you should only play this one if you like Dark Souls type games. If you do like those types of games, you’ll find a solid Metriodvana and a good looking game. Blasphemous 2 is a great addition to the Nintendo Switch eshop!

It’s that consistent friction that’ll make Blasphemous 2 a hard sell for those who don’t already worship at the church of Castlevania. It’s a series of mountains to be climbed, with jagged handholds that’ll often send players tumbling back down to the bottom. At times, it can be demoralizing — or worse — a little boring. There’s always something beyond that peak, though, so long as you’re devoted enough to endure the climb, bloodied palms and all. Have faith that it’s worth the pain and you’ll always find the light on the other side, even if the deadly rewards you find earn you a first-class ticket to Hell.
