System of Souls is a nice and rewarding puzzle game on PlayStation 4. It starts out smoothly but evolves into a game that offers a good challenge and forces you to find creative ways to solve each room. Although it’s not the same concept, it does have a bit of aPortal vibe that should definitely please fans of that game. It’s definitely one that’s worth playing for fans of first-person puzzle games. System of Souls is out on PlayStation 4 with a $14.99 asking price.

Si te gustan los juegos de puzzles, no eres excesivamente manco con el mando y toleras la frustración, este es tu juego: Estéticamente interesante, con una trama misteriosa y con auténticos retos a tu inteligencia y a tu habilidad, con el plus añadido de que tiene ese toque filosófico de definir qué hace que un humano sea un humano, la esencia del ser, inmortalidad y la composición del alma.

Un gran juego en el que vamos a tener que exprimir nuestro cerebro pero que no va a resultar una frustración en ningún momento gracias a su historia, buena jugabilidad y unos puzles de interesante resolución. La única pega, que no tenga voces.

With an interesting story and some decent puzzle mechanics, System of Souls has all the ingredients for a good sci-fi puzzler, but with its best parts rarely firing in tandem, it only shows flashes of its real potential. Being a little rough around the edges, however, shouldn’t keep away fans of the genre though as there are a few thought-provoking hours for those willing to give it a shot.     

If you enjoy games like Portal and Q.U.B.E, System of Souls feel like a very ‘indie’ take on those titles. From its look and feel to the gameplay, it’ll have an instant appeal to genre fans, with only a few rough edges holding it back.

Chaotic Labs debuta con una opera prima bastante interesante y entretenida. Es cierto que System of Souls no reinventa el género y que es bastante corto, pero los diferentes retos y puzles que nos va presentando a lo largo de sus tres horas de duración nos hará estar enganchados con un desafío que escala de una forma bastante asequible y satisfactoria.

System of Souls es un juego indie desarrollado por un pequeño estudio malagueño que, lejos de estar cerca de crear una súper producción, se adentra en la industria del videojuego con un producto muy bien acabado de corte futurista y centrado en la mezcla de la primera persona, los puzles y plataformas. 

System of Souls is a clever puzzler that does deliver some tricky and smart challenges. There's not much in the way of deceit, allowing players to see the task ahead and worry about execution. It's not mind-bending but there is some frustration on hand when the occasionally erratic physics intervene. As well presented as the levels are, I found the narrative fell flat and there are definitely times where things can feel very sterile. The puzzles are worth seeing although the lack of a level select does mean replaying can feel a bit of a slog.

System of Souls, realizado por antiguos alumnos de máster de EVAD y que cuenta con la ayuda de las plataformas Lanzadera y PlayStation Talents, no deja de ser el primer proyecto indie de unos pocos, pero talentosos jóvenes, que buscan su hueco en la industria del videojuego. Un juego de puzles y plataformas sencillo pero entretenido, con un precio muy reducido, que cumple en su propuesta inspirándose en otros grandes del género y que consigue hacernos pasar un rato entretenido dentro de Ion y su mundo de robots, cyborgs y androides con alma en su interior.

A pesar de los inconvenientes que le vemos, System of Souls es un buen juego de puzles para los que buscan desafíos. La dificultad va aumentando a medida que se desbloquean más habilidades, por lo que siempre hay un reto mayor que el anterior. Ahora bien, algunas fases pueden ser frustrantes por ciertos movimientos imprecisos que deberían estar muy pulidos para disfrutar 100% del gameplay. Las mecánicas son muy divertidas donde la gravedad tiene un fuerte protagonismo, pero la historia queda en un segundo plano.

System of Souls no revoluciona el mercado pero resulta una entretenida aventura de puzles con un importante mensaje sobre el medio ambiente y el valor de la vida humana. Una aventura que si bien puede ser algo relajada, nos hará querer seguir avanzando sin parar.

System Of Souls is a first-person 3D puzzle-platformer about recovering human memories in a robot body. The visuals fit with some interesting puzzle designs and intrigue to keep you playing. However, it can be easy to quit from all the frustration caused by the poor platforming, lack of energy, and limited sound. If you've got time, boot up the system and give it a shot.
