Super Toy Cars is not a game aimed towards adults, and yet it was still a rather enjoyable experience even for me. Though it lacked the challenge of big name racers, or the finesse and quirky attitude of games such as Mario Kart, Super Toy Cars still manages to shine where it matters most: Fun factor. It's also a very well put together little title, considering I didn't encounter a single glitch during my entire experience, which is very rare. For children looking for a fun racing game for the PC, I would definitely suggest looking into this game. For adults? I'd still suggest at the very least checking it out if you ever see it on sale.

Is Super Toy Cars perfect? No, far from it. But it’s the best fun filled combat racer that you can play on Xbox One today so grab some sofa friends and settle some scores.

Overall, Super Toy Cars is a very fun little game with some minor flaws. I suggest you go and pick it up as you finish reading this review. It’s great for times when you have nothing to do, or you’re bored.

Super Toy Cars should be commended for thouroughly succeeding in being what it tries to be; a fun, visually appealing combat racing game that’s excellent for kids while still being entertaining for adults. The game misses out on a big opportunity in its lack of online multiplayer, but for those interested in splitscreen multiplayer and/or a laid-back career mode, this game delivers.

Overall I have to say Super Toy Cars from Eclipse Games did not disappoint, and delivered everything they set out for it. A few minor issues which arouse around landing from jumps and invisible walls were very quickly dealt with and a patch was uploaded to ensure upon release it was the best it could be for the Xbox community. For that alone Eclipse games have shown that they do care about the games they create, I can name a few games recently released with problems that developers have just ignored so is great to see action taken to give us the best possible product. I would definitely recommend it as it is a fun racing game that is not overly long to complete and a fairly easy 1000 Gamerscore. Super Toy Cars also has a nice price point that is a very fair and reasonable purchase for the fun and entertainment you will receive.

Pour conclure, Super Toy Cars est un jeu accessible à tous, même s'il souffre de quelques défauts au niveau de la maniabilité. Il permet de passer un bon moment surtout en mode multijoueur. On aurait toutefois apprécié des courses online, chose qui aurait pu le distinguer de son concurrent qu’est TNT Racers, même si la vue de la caméra n’est pas de la même trempe. Dans ce registre, il offre un bon rapport qualité/prix tout en réussissant le pari correct de mélanger les styles de Mario Kart et l’univers MicroMachine dans un même jeu.

Super Toy Cars is a fun game to play, providing a series of increasing racing challenges, the ability to play with friends and to create custom tracks. All of it is wrapped up in a nostalgic package that calls back to my childhood days, zipping around and letting my imagination do the majority of the work.

En definitiva, Super Toy Cars no es la panacea de los títulos de coches desenfadados, pero ofrece una propuesta más pequeña por un precio reducido donde hasta los coches son diminutos. Tiene sus problemas en la precisión del control, pero la posibilidad de reaparecer lo soluciona en cierta medida. Se puede quedar corto si no se utiliza el editor y por la falta de online - aunque ésta fuera sólo para compartir circuitos creados. Pero ante todo estamos frente a un título que consigue divertir, y eso es lo más importante.

En general, Super Toy Cars ofrece una experiencia fantástica a un precio razonable (7.99€ en la Nintendo eShop). Sin duda el juego agradará tanto a jugadores veteranos amantes de clásicos como Micro Machines, como a nuevos jugadores. Además, podrás disfrutar de horas de diversión recolectando monedas y otros objetos para desbloquear nuevos componentes en el juego, o competir con tus amigos en el multijugador local.

Super Toy Cars es un título de carreras muy divertido que hará las delicias de los fans de Micro Machines y a todos los jugadores que quieran pasar un buen rato agradable, tanto en solitario como en multijugador con hasta cuatro amigos. Con una gran cantidad de elementos desbloqueables, además de personalizaciones, vehículos y elementos extras; este título se convierte en una de las alternativas más frescas y originales que encontraremos en Steam a un precio bastante asequible.

Super Toy Cars reminds me very well of my younger days playing MicroMachines which is great, graphically this game is very nice to look at and the price point is great! The physics let it down slightly but

the lack of multiplayer couldn't be ignored. All in all its a good table top racer game to play locally with friends and if you like single player career racer games go for it!!

With some interesting track layout and large selection of vehicles, Super Toy Cars is an entertaining arcade racer and a welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch console. There is plenty enough content to keep you entertained during your initial playthrough though the lack of a solid and well developed multiplayer mode is sadly a missed the opportunity and one that hampers the desire to return to the title after you have bested the games main career mode. 

The game looks and plays great on the Switch’s handheld mode. The style of the game lends itself to playing on the go, so handheld is definitely the recommended way of playing. However, the graphics don’t really lose anything when translated to a big screen, so there’s no wrong answer.

Budget racer Super Toy Cars delivers some rad drifting moments with a sidecar helping of combat thrown in. It’s also one of the better looking budget racing games on the Nintendo eStore. Fun, short and with ever so shiny graphics, this broom broom racer is an appealing purchase. Just don’t expect a table top classic.

Super Toy Cars could be seen as a modest and cost-effective alternative to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but to be fair, you really can’t compare the two. Fun can be had, especially with other players and it can be entertaining for a while but you won’t be sitting around for hours on end playing this game. A few rounds between playing other games will surely be its lot and at $9.99 you will still have a good time and a few laughs at each others expense.

Super Toy Cars podría definirse como Mario Kart conoce a MicroMachines, las influencias son obvias, el resultado es un juego interesante, con buena música y que se puede disfrutar solo, con amigos en casa o a través de Xbox Live, puede volverse repetitivo pronto, o no tener las mejores físicas del mundo, pero la diversión está asegurada.

Así, Super Toy Cars se queda en un título que sólo podemos recomendar a quienes estén buscando un título de esta índole al que jugar con amigos, ya que, de otra manera, les acabará sabiendo a muy poco. Probablemente está más enfocado para un público joven –calculamos que entre 10 y 15 años–, y a los que buscan un título más completo se les quede un tanto corto, aunque sabemos que puede gustar a ciertos jugadores. Si os interesa, os recomendamos probarlo antes de comprarlo, y más en Wii U donde hay rivales de primera línea en este género, como Mario Kart 8.

Super Toy Cars ends up being a mediocre outing. For some, it might be enough to play through the content it offers and bust it out when friends are over. It is the best way to experience this title after all and it works all well enough. If you are playing alone, you can go through all the events on offer, but the lack of online features gives only limited appeal.

Super Toy Cars ha llegado a Nintendo Switch, para traer un título de coches pequeños con muchos escenarios, pero que arrastra algún problema de precisión de control, además de no disponer del modo de editor de escenarios de su versión de PC y de ofrecer una sensación que hace que se sienta algo genérico. Tiene mucho potencial, pero le faltan algunos detalles que bien pulidos le harían destacar más. Si tienes la versión de Wii U, no hay ninguna novedad, pero si no la probaste, échale un ojo si los arcades de carreras son lo tuyo.

Tenemos entre manos un título que da lo que promete, ni más ni menos. La relación calidad precio de Super Toy Cars Wii U hace que sea un título a considerar para pasar unos buenos ratos echando unas carreras ya sea solo o en compañía. Y es que, al igual que hace la propia Nintendo, este juego apuesta por el componente multijugador local, un modo que es el gran olvidado de los últimos años. Esta característica, y un apartado gráfico realmente agradable hacen que Super Toy Cars suba muchos puntos a pesar de sus pequeños fallos puntuales y el editor de pistas añade horas de entretenimiento potencialmente ilimitadas. ¡A correr!

In summary Super Toy Cars is a fun game but its lacking of an online multiplayer mode is disappointing as im sure this would have been a great feature to add depth to the game that feels a bit shallow in places. Some slight technical issues hold back what otherwise would be a fine fun racer. The top down view however brings back a nostalgic feeling I haven't had in a while.

Una verdadera lástima. Super Toy Cars lo tenía todo de cara para ser un producto divertido pero ha quedado lastrado por diversos fallos jugables. Por menos de 10 euros hubiera sido muy fácil recomendar su compra, pero la pérdida de opciones respecto a otras versiones (sin editor ni online), su impreciso control, los fallos gráficos y las físicas tan mejorables que tiene, nos impiden hacerlo sin avisaros de que es un producto muy mejorable. Aun así, si le das una oportunidad y le perdonas los muchos fallos que tiene, puede entretenerte algunas horas, ya que a todos nos gusta recordar los tiempos de Micromachines y nos encantan los juegos de carreras con power-ups.

ith plenty of tracks and cars on offer, a variety of surprisingly fun game modes and local multiplayer for up to four players, Super Toy Cars does offer some fun for your £7.99 and can certainly fill that Mario Kart/Micro Machines-sized hole in the Xbox One’s library for the time being, but don’t expect it to be anywhere near the quality of the classics that inspired it.

However, what good will Super Toy Cars builds with these standout features is lost in the overall package due to the poor performance of the game. While performance issues in handheld mode are less prevalent, I found the performance in docked mode to be quite frustrating. At times I found the framerate inconsistency to be so jarring it would cause me to have difficulty controlling the car and sometimes even crash.

It’s an enjoyable arcade racer that still has plenty to learn. Can we recommend it for £8? Yes, I think we can. If you’re after a more OTT experience than the simulations like DriveClub and Project CARS, for less than a tenner you’ll have a grand old time with Super Toy Cars.

Si Super Toy Cars ressemble, dans le principe, à un Mario Kart ou un Mirco Machines, il est loin d’égaler ses prédécesseurs. Heureusement le jeu ne coute que 8 euros et peut être fun pour quelques courses entre amis (jusqu’à 4 joueurs), sans pour autant être une référence en la matière.

Pero lo cierto es que el juego divierte como pocos, a los más pequeños de la casa les gustará, y también a aquellos que quieran disfrutar de partidas con otros jugadores en la misma consola. Un servidor piensa que de poco sirven los gráficos si el juego no es divertido y que este debe ser el objetivo principal que cualquier desarrollador debe buscar. Eclipse Games lo tiene muy claro y este juego lo demuestra.

Con un tempismo tutt'altro che consigliabile, Super Toy Cars arriva su Wii U dopo il ciclone Mario Kart 8, paradigma del genere nonché miglior titolo attualmente disponibile per la console Nintendo. Contrariamente da quanto vuole la tradizione, però, in questo scontro tra Davide e Golia videoludici è proprio il più piccolo ad avere la peggio: un track design poco originale ed una fisica ampiamente discutibile emergono infatti come i maggiori difetti di una produzione che si limita ad offrire design e contenuti tali da svolgere il loro compito e nulla più. Alla luce di questo, Super Toy Cars si rivela un'alternativa economica al combat racing Nintendo, adatta solamente ai giocatori più giovani o senza troppe pretese. Questi, con ogni probabilità, riusciranno infatti a trovare nel titolo Eclipse Games materiale sufficiente a divertirli per qualche tempo, almeno fino a che la ripetitività che affligge il gioco in troppi dei suoi aspetti, non si farà innegabile anche per loro.

“Super Toy Cars” es una decepción total; un juego de carreras con mucho potencial y un concepto que podría haber sido explotado de mil maneras, que gracias a un gameplay mediocre, controles ridículamente sensibles, y un diseño de pistas paupérrimo, terminó siendo más frustrante que entretenido, más aburrido y soso que verdaderamente placentero. Sí, soy un fanático de los juegos de carreras, y siempre lo seré, pero eso no quiere decir que todos vayan a gustarme; no hay forma, lamentablemente, de que pueda recomendarle “Super Toy Cars” a mis lectores.

Os alicerces de Super Toy Cars são aceitáveis, com conteúdo generoso e visuais interessantes, mas o jogo falha na fluidez das corridas. Isto num jogo de cariz marcadamente arcade é um ponto negativo demasiado óbvio. Super Toy Cars é um título mediano, mas longe de ser recomendado.

Un discreto gameplay e una modesta quantità di contenuti non bastano quindi a cambiare le sorti dell'ultimo gioco Cosmic Games: se quindi siete alla ricerca di un prodotto simile ma assestato su ben altri livelli, sapete benissimo dove andare a rivolgervi.

Super Toy Cars is a decent enough tabletop racer that will have fans of the classics like Micro Machines taking a quick nostalgic trip down memory lane, but it never manages to live up to the games from which it clearly takes its inspiration. You’ll get some fun out of throwing your car around the cute tracks, but the temperamental physics and inaccurate contact between your car and its surroundings has the potential to frustrate players before that happens. Not a bad game, then, but one that is a few grid positions behind its competitors.

Es difícil plantear bajo qué prisma debe valorarse Super Toy Cars. Como juego de conducción arcade no resulta divertido por sus lastres técnicos y el pobre diseño artístico que presenta. Si además lo juzgamos como un producto que sale al mercado a un precio de 7,99€ no puede recomendarse debido a su poco atractivo y los problemas jugables de los que adolece.

Far from an offensively bad title, but also far from a passable game, Super Toy Cars is just a little mediocre title. It’s a game that can be mildly entertaining for a few minutes, but not engaging enough to grab your attention for a long time. It’s pretty hard to recommend Super Toy Cars to Switch owners when Mario Kart is already available for it.

Even if Mario Kart weren’t an available option on the system (though, no doubt, a much more expensive one) I’d find it difficult to give Super Toys cars more than a very tepid recommendation. Even among some of the other flawed racing titles on Switch its struggles with the fundamentals of a quality racing experience make it tough to love even if you have some nostalgia for its overall looks. All things considered it struggles to keep pace with the pack and is forgettable unless you’re really jonesing for that Micro Machines feel.

Com opção para "multiplayer" até 4 jogadores ligados em rede local e possibilidade de ligação de outros periféricos como o comando Wii U pro e o Wii remote, é possível desfrutar deste jogo com amigos, no entanto Super Toy Cars está longe de ser uma experiência recomendada. Revela sérias limitações que seguramente farão a Eclipse Games eventualmente pensar numa sequela feita a partir de um novo motor gráfico.

Au final, Super Toy Cars s’avère être plutôt décevant. On peine à voir l’essence de Mario Kart dans ce jeu, même si en soi, il n’en avait pas nécessairement besoin pour être un bon jeu. Et finalement, les courses ne sont pas désagréables, mais le jeu souffre de trop d’imperfections pour prendre plaisir à concourir. Super Toy Cars manque de fluidité et affiche un aliasing assez prononcé. Il n’est pas exempt de bugs, loin de là, que ce soit les mines qui jouent à « roule moi dessus… ou pas » ou les différents problèmes inhérents à la physique du jeu, et aux collisions contre des murs invisibles. Le jeu étant originaire du PC, sans en attendre grand-chose, on aurait tout de même pu espérer un GamePad un peu exploité, mais il n’en est rien, le mode TV-Off étant des plus inappropriés, pour ne pas inutilisable. Pour finir sur les points noirs, on signalera que le jeu est en anglais, qui, sans nuire à la compréhension de ce dernier pour les réfractaires (c’est un jeu de course, pas un RPG) est vraiment dommage, pour le peu qu’il y avait à traduire. Enfin, le mode online, dont est pourvu la version PC est absent de la version Wii U, il faudra se contenter du multijoueur en local. Concrètement, l’un des seuls point à retenir et qui pourrait en intéresser certains est l’éditeur de niveau, qui sans être transcendant, remplit son office, malgré l’absence de partage en ligne…

Super Toy Cars is a seemingly rushed and unfinished port of a barely average game. It never set the world alight on PC or Wii U thanks to some pretty dire physics and a lack of interesting locations and this Xbox One version is identical in design to those versions – warts and all - but doesn't contain the track editor or online play. It also features a number of relatively basic technical issues that sap the fun out of things. Beach Buggy Racing would be the main competition on Xbox One and even though that game is a little bit of a by-the-numbers affair, it's still massively preferable to this.

Super Toy Cars is not a good game. It's mechanically flawed, unfinished and generally more frustrating than it is fun. So, unless you're itching for a new tabletop racing game and happen to be willing to overlook such issues, this is one to avoid.

Malheureusement, c’est la douche froide pour Super Toy Cars qui rate presque tout. Contenu pauvre, gameplay daté, il n’y a pas grand chose pour sauver le jeu. Au lieu de nous ressortir un titre qui date de 2014, il aurait été préférable de proposer quelque chose de nouveau. Si vous recherchez un jeu dans l’esprit Micro Machines sur Nintendo Switch, on vous invite plutôt à vous intéresser à Mantis Burn Racing. Si votre truc c’est Mario Kart, inutile de vous faire un dessin.

Malgré son petit prix, il n'y a malheureusement rien à sauver dans ce Super Toy Cars. Entre un contenu plus que minimaliste, un gameplay catastrophique, des bugs en pagaille et une technique clairement à la ramasse, le joueur ferait mieux de garder son argent et d'éviter le plus possible ce mélange raté entre Micro Machines et Mario Kart.
