Between awe-inspiring vistas lay meticulously crafted space facilities begging exploration. For any Quest 3 owner, Red Matter 2 offers a must-play and essential showcase of what VR is capable of delivering.

Sin duda alguna, este es un juego que tenemos que jugar si o si en nuestras Quest 2, es más, diría que tenemos que verlo en este visor para poder admirar el insuperable trabajo que ha hecho el estudio en un visor independiente, no olvidemos que hablamos de un estudio español y han realizado un trabajo superlativo.

Una segunda parte de manual, continuista con lo que funcionaba y superando a la primera en todos los elementos, menos en guion, lo que menos me ha convencido. Los añadidos y extras aportan variedad al juego y lo alejan del fantasma de "asombrosa demo técnica" que alguno le podría adjudicar. Red Matter 2 es una joya, un rubí carmesí que brillará en Quest 2, en PC VR y en cualquier otra plataforma en la que esperemos sea lanzado. A su lado, el resto de los juegos casi han pasado a ser bisutería. ¡Camaradas, ciudadanos, rovianos del mundo uníos, la madre patria os necesita en el Sistema Solar! 

If it’s not clear by now, I not only love this game, but am also impressed by what it managed to achieve on the Quest 2 platform.  It’s an incredibly well-balanced puzzle/platformer/shooter that feels refined and is one of the best titles to show off what Meta’s flagship headset can do.  The only reason to not pick this up is if you DESPISE puzzlers, but if you have any passing interest in that genre, don’t mind a little shooter action to spice things up or just want to show off what current gen VR can look like, do not pass this one up.

Red Matter 2 builds on the solid foundation established by its predecessor, giving us even better visuals, more interactivity, and all new devious puzzles to solve. It's a true showcase of Sony's PSVR2 platform, and a fantastic sequel to boot!

This is a glorious VR game. It will take you about 5 to 6 hours to finish, but you can easily lose time just taking in everything you see. The only niggle with the game is a lack of replayability. There is nothing extra to entice one to play again. However, the journey and spectacle of a single run is totally worth it. If you are looking for a premium VR experience that fills you with a sense of awe and wonder, Red Matter 2 is the ticket. Developer, Vertical Robot is one to keep an eye on.

Red Matter 2 è un prodotto eccezionale: un’avventura meravigliosa che sembra uscita dalla prima ondata di grandi prodotti PCVR del 2016, e che propone tra l’altro un impatto tecnico mai visto prima. Non esiste letteralmente un motivo per cui non dobbiate acquistare il nuovo gioco di Vertical Robot, se non che – in fondo in fondo – i giochi belli proprio non vi piacciono.

Vertical Robot lo ha vuelto a conseguir. Red Matter 2 se convierte en otro imprescindible de la Realidad Virtual para todos los amantes de los puzzles y/o la ciencia ficción. Eso por no mencionar el increíble nivel visual que han alcanzado en un dispositivo standalone. Sigo pensando que el estudio ha hecho un pacto con el diablo, porque parece que estamos ante un AAA de PCVR.

Red Matter 2 es un portento técnico en Meta Quest 2. Vertical Robot han subido, con esta segunda parte, un listón que ya habían establecido ellos mismos con su anterior juego. Es un top gráfico que dinamita los supuestos límites de la consola standalone y que debería suponer una llamada de atención para los demás desarrolladores. Pero sus bondades no se quedan ahí. Tenemos ante nosotros una excelente aventura retrofuturista que se abastece de puzles, plataformas y acción. Con un estupendo doblaje al inglés y traducido a nuestro idioma (esperamos que cuando llegue el doblaje al español, el resultado no desmerezca, como sí ocurrió con su primera parte) y una banda sonora épica y emocionante por momentos, la trama nos lleva hasta otros mundos a través del misterio, alianzas continentales enfrentadas en un ambiente de tensa guerra fría y una omnipresente materia roja que proviene de otra dimensión. Y en otra dimensión nos ha hecho sentir este juego, una en la que quedar embelesados, desde un asteroide, con el paisaje que pone todo un planeta a nuestros pies. Imprescindible.

Red Matter 2 è il sequel perfetto del primo capitolo da un punto di vista sia narrativo, sia tecnico. Le prestazioni su Oculus Quest 2 sono eccellenti e il comparto grafico è sensazionale, tanto da rendere questo titolo migliore di molti progetti PCVR con maggiori risorse hardware a disposizione. La storia procede con molte più sorprese rispetto a quella del predecessore e si dipana in scenari differenti, presentando al meglio alcune nuove meccaniche. Nonostante si sia rivelato problematico in specifiche fasi di shooting, il gameplay nel suo insieme è ricco e offre diverse ore di divertimento e meraviglia sia ai novizi del VR che ai veterani. Se avete giocato al capostipite della serie, sappiate che questo sequel potrebbe stupirvi, grazie a un universo distopico sci-fi a tratti sorprendente.

Ya sabíamos que Red Matter 2 era un señor juegazo para todos los amantes de la ciencia ficción, y ahora en PS VR2 tenemos su mejor versión. El equipo madrileño de Vertical Robot ha vuelto a hacer virguerías técnicas para ofrecernos de los gráficos más espectaculares del visor.

Red Matter 2 is an amazing follow-up to one of the best games on the original PS VR. With the best graphics on the PS VR2, incredible environmental puzzles and storytelling, and one of the most polished control schemes on the market, Vertical Robot again shows why it is among the very best VR developers. If you are at all interested in VR gaming, Red Matter 2 is a game not to be missed.

Red Matter 2 è il nuovo standard tecnico per quanto riguarda lo sviluppo di giochi VR su Meta Quest 2. L'avventura, che nel complesso durerà tra le quattro e le sei ore, è ben bilanciata e con un buon ritmo. L'introduzione della pistola laser aggiunge delle fasi marcatamente action che spezzano molto bene il ritmo generale del gioco. I puzzle ambientali sono vari, stimolanti ma mai frustranti, oltre a essere ben integrati all'interno degli ambienti di gioco. Anche la storia è avvincente e sempre ben recitata, con dialoghi e sottotitoli in inglese facilmente comprensibili e leggibili, nonostante la mancata localizzazione in italiano (con i sottotitoli in italiano forse in arrivo prossimamente). L'unico inciampo dello sviluppatore Vertical Robot è stato sul sistema di movimento, dimostrando come il gioco sia stato pensato principalmente per essere esplorato con un sistema di movimento libero; non altrettanta attenzione è stata mostrata al sistema di teletrasporto.

La sensación que me ha quedado al pasarme Red Matter 2, tras unas siete horas de aventura, es de alegría por haber vivido algo así pero también de tristeza por ya haberlo vivido. No se hace repetitivo en ningún momento, al contrario, cada nueva zona es un descubrimiento.

Thanks to Red Matter 2, Vertical Robot is now in my top 3 VR studios. Beyond the solid foundations of Sasha's new adventure, which is fun and intriguing, the technical expertise is unparalleled in the indie world. The game combines puzzles and narrative progression with stunning aesthetics, making every step within the Volgravian structures palpable. It's a well-crafted adventure in every aspect. Looking forward to their next work.

If you have a VR headset and are itching for something to play, Red Matter 2 is a must-play. It’s a clever little puzzle adventure game that continued to surprise me throughout, thanks to its intelligent puzzle design that keeps things interesting and varied. Not to mention the occasionally gorgeous visuals that must be pushing the Quest 2 to its limits.

Red Matter 2 ist nicht nur die ultimative Grafikdemo für die Quest 2, sondern auch ein faszinierendes Adventure voller rätselhafter Technik.

Overall, Red Matter 2 is a great sequel that builds on the strengths of the first entry and further improves upon the visuals and gameplay. It simply looks and runs phenomenal on the Quest 2, with mostly captivating puzzles and an interesting mystery to solve at its core. It's not perfect and still exhibits some bugs, and I probably could've done without the shooting sections, but that's a small price to pay when the rest come together as well as this. If you own a quest, this is a six-hour adventure you don't want to miss.

Beau, proposant des mécaniques qui impliquent et immergent le joueur, le jeu de Vertical Robot propose une aventure complète et engageante. Les puzzles et énigmes sont bien calibrés, originaux et vous demanderont par moments de faire le petit effort « de plus » pour trouver la solution, ce qui est toujours gratifiant, voire bluffant parfois. C’est sans trop d’hésitations que nous pouvons classer Red Matter 2 dans la catégorie des meilleurs jeux du catalogue du Meta Quest 2.

Red Matter 2 is one of VR’s finest adventures yet. With an intriguing mystery, impressive graphics, and intuitive design, Vertical Robot’s sequel pushes the Meta Quest 2 to its limits to nearly match the PCVR experience.

Red Matter 2 brings best-in-class graphics and interactions to Quest 2, a welcomed entry amidst a largely arcade-focused library—and stands as a solid PC VR title in its own right. Mostly good puzzling gameplay is mixed with a light helping of not-so-good combat, set against a backdrop of a 'radio play' plot that's not particularly engaging. With a stellar attention to graphical detail and direction, both large & small, and a richly interactive world, Red Matter 2 excels in the immersion department in a way that few VR games do. While effectively channeling titles like Lone Echo and Half-Life: Alyx, it doesn't quite reach that mark, but for a small team and a reasonable $30 price tag it's an impressive feat—especially considering the computational limitations of Quest 2.

Ultimately, the issues that arise aren’t enough to quash the immense level of fun or the mastery of design on display. Red Matter 2 is a PSVR2 must-play.

Even with a few second-half hiccups, Red Matter 2 is a stunning achievement and a delight to play with its minor gripes easily forgivable. It’s a gorgeous game on both PC VR and Quest 2, but it truly raises the standard on the latter to new heights. If you’re a Quest 2 owner wanting to see the best visuals your headset can offer, it’s one to check out. And if you’re just looking for an engaging sequel that evolves a sci-fi adventure that started in 2018? Red Matter 2 delivers on that front too.
