En definitiva, aunque suene a tópico, WWE 2K Battlegrounds gustará a los fans presentes y pasados de la WWE, y no tanto a los jugadores que busquen un juego de lucha al uso, que tendrán que pagar un precio moderadamente alto en cuanto a opciones de jugabilidad puras por llevar una “skin de Triple H”. En contenido, gráficos, opciones, diversión… está muy bien, pero quizás ese “muy bien” venga en parte influenciado por un servidor que no deja de pensar: ¡qué buenos años pasamos junto a ti Héctor!

Mucho más arcade que cualquiera de sus predecesores, un look cartoon bien pulido y un combate entretenido, hacen de WWE 2K Battlegrounds un juego que querrás probar si te gustan los juegos de lucha.

"WWE 2K Battlegrounds" est une bonne surprise si vous aimez les jeux orientés "arcade" et l'univers du catch ! Accessible, tout en était relativement technique, doté de nombreux modes de jeu en solo comme en multijoueur, cet épisode tranche avec les simulations habituelles. Un divertissement qui plaira aux amateurs de baston et sera propice à animer vos soirées jeux vidéo entre amis avec des combats jusqu'à 8 participants !

Il roster è solido, con oltre 70 wrestler di ieri e oggi, mentre il carattere arcade del titolo è in grado di avvicinare anche chi non ha mai acquistato un gioco WWE. Il vero punto negativo risiede nella ripetitività delle mosse e dei colpi ma, alla fin fine, ci si può anche abituare pur soffrendo una certa mancanza di profondità e longevità. Una nota di merito va però al prezzo budget, che fa ben digerire le poche mancanze.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds est un souffle de fraicheur et fonctionne très bien sur switch, c’est plutôt une bonne nouvelle après des itérations switch assez minable des précédents WWE. Axé fun et sans prise de tête le jeu devient plus technique au fur et à mesure que l’on avance tout en s’amusant. Un contenu solo conséquent, un peu d’online, du match en local, de la création en pagaille bref tout ce qu’on aime. Il saura ravir les fans de la WWE, mais aussi ceux qui cherchent un petit jeu de baston entre amis.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds ci ha stupiti, forse anche perché non nutrivamo grandi aspettative verso un titolo che sembrava nato per essere un riempitivo del vuoto lasciato da WWE 2K21. Anziché essere una semplice scusa per utilizzare la licenza, Battlegrounds si è rivelato essere un gioco incredibilmente divertente, che fa dell'immediatezza la sua parola d'ordine, a differenza della serie principale. Nonostante alcuni difetti, su tutti la presenza di fastidiose (ma fortunatamente evitabili) microtransazioni, ci sentiamo di consigliare questo titolo a tutti i fan di wrestling, soprattutto a chi era stanco del macchinoso iper-realismo degli ultimi capitoli.

WWE 2K Battleground es un interesante cambio de rumbo, un arcade que lejos de ser perfecto, es lo más divertido que ha dejado la saga WWE en los últimos años. Ideal para partidas cortas, con mucho que desbloquear, pero que puede volverse repetitivo pronto y con algunas ideas no del todo acertadas.

Il divertimento è assicurato, soprattutto facendosi affiancare da un amico: sia questo online, via remote play (uno dei due ha il gioco e lo “presta” all’altro per giocarci insieme) o in locale. Questo è l’aspetto più vincente e convincente di WWE 2K Battlegrounds, quello che viene prepotentemente dagli anni ’90 e che non smetterà mai di rendere, questo tipo di giochi, le perle perfette per ridere e scherzare in compagnia.

Spielerisch angenehmer Ausflug in die Arcade-Welt des Wrestlings, jedoch mit den üblichen Grind-Krücken sonstiger 2K Sport-Spiele.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds es un juego de lucha libre con un corte más arcade que los anteriores WWE 2K, un título alternativo un tanto sencillo pero bastante efectivo y divertido en su apuesta jugable que creemos que va a agradar a todos los aficionados al universo WWE aunque, eso sí, hubiéramos agradecido un ritmo más frenético en los combates y no tener que desbloquear un buen puñado de superestrellas mientras jugamos.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds es divertido, loco e interesante para los amantes del wrestling y de la WWE. Sin embargo, su combate se sigue sintiendo poco fluido, hay pocas modalidades de juego y su sistema de desbloqueo de personajes recuerda demasiado a un free to play. Ideal para jugar entre amigos.

Hace años era un gran fan de la WWE, y he invertido muchas horas de juego en alguno de los títulos que explotan esta franquicia del wrestling. Es por eso que cuando se me presentó la oportunidad de analizar este WWE 2k Battlegrounds me asaltaron bastantes dudas, sobre todo por ese aspecto tan particular y esa jugabilidad menos «realista» orientada a dar mamporros sin parar. Sin embargo el resultado funciona bien y es que estamos ante un juego que no busca ser fiel a la realidad, sino ser divertido. Sin más.

Tiene de todo para entretener una tarde con amigos, aunque solo es mucho menos disfrutable. Su modo historia es poco más que un tutorial largo. La sombra de los micropagos es alargada, aunque podemos esquivarla.

Un soplo de aire fresco. Después del desastroso WWE 2K20, la franquicia no podía caer más bajo, pero lejos de ser un título sacado a las apuradas para mantener la vigencia de un lanzamiento anual, WWE 2K Battlegrounds es una propuesta más que correcta, que conoce de sus limitaciones y decide no más ambicionar más allá de sus expectativas.

Il compito era facile, perché le aspettative per un riempitivo arcade dopo il dramma di WWE 2K20 erano così basse che Battlegrounds poteva solo raccoglierle da terra. Lo stile grafico è piacevole e per quelle cinque-sei ore diverte. Per sbloccare tutto senza cacciare il real money occorre però restarci attaccati per molto, molto, molto più tempo. E lì più che ai bordi del ring, il giochino mostra la corda. Sì, nonostante arieti, coccodrilli e macchine da spatafasciare addosso all'avversario.

Hemos probado el juego con una conexión simétrica de 600Mb en un televisor 4K con Chromecast Ultra y Stadia Controller así como en un PC con distintos mandos compatibles a 1080p. El juego funciona correctamente aunque en televisores 4K no se alcanza dicha resolución de forma nativa. La versión de Stadia de WWE 2K Battlegrounds cumple sin grandes alardes a lo que ya estamos acostumbrados y esperamos de la plataforma. Mención especial al cross play que nos garantiza una vida útil mas extensa en su faceta online.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds is the WWE’s big release for the year, but it’s taken a new direction after last years effort and is a decent arcade alternative to the previous WWE games. The gameplay is fair and different, but you always expect a decent storyline to play through as well. The comic strip idea is OK but with no voice acting anywhere it just feels a bit weak.

"WWE 2K Battlegrounds" ist kein Totalausfall wie "WWE 2K 20" im vergangenen Jahr. In seinem Kern ist es ein unterhaltsamer Brawler - ideal geeignet für eine Runde mit Freunden oder Gelegenheitsspielern. Die flotten Kontrollen erleichtern den Einstieg. Für ein paar Matches macht "Battlegrounds" durchaus Laune. Wer sich hier aber einen Dauerbrenner verspricht, liegt falsch. Dem Kampfsystem mangelt es merklich an Tiefe und Abwechslung. Das zeigt sich besonders in Online-Kämpfen mit geübten Spielern. Und Fortschritt und Freischaltung der Kämpfer und Outfits ziehen sich wie Kaugummi. Noch dazu fehlt es den Wrestlern trotz verschiedener Klassen an Persönlichkeit und Unterschieden. Schade eigentlich! "Battlegrounds" hätte ein schöner Zeitvertreib bis zum nächsten grossen "WWE 2K" werden können, ist aber nicht mehr als ein überteuerter Pausenfüller voller Mikrotransaktionen.

En definitiva, ‘WWE 2K Battlegrounds’ es un juego hecho para disfrutar de unas cuantas horas de combates alocados. Podría tener mejores gráficos y una jugabilidad más refinada, pero no por ello deja de ser un buen juego.

Au final, WWE 2K Battlegrounds donne l’impression d’avoir été développé dans l’urgence et c’est d’ailleurs sans doute le cas. L’ambiance sonore minimaliste, que l’on vient d’aborder, fait en définitive écho avec le gameplay simpliste. Comme si rien n’avait été fouillé en profondeur. Cependant avec son côté arcade et fun assumé, ses qualités et même ses défauts, le jeu en devient un excellent titre à dégainer pour une petite soirée entre potes… ou quelques parties en ligne si on a pas d’amis. En revanche, l’expérience en solitaire se voudra moins passionnante notamment à cause de cette IA pas toujours en grande forme. On aura vite fait de le mettre de côté.

Il problema emerge nella lunga durata, dove la forte ripetitività di fondo porta a porsi diverse domande su quanto effettivamente il titolo valga il prezzo a cui viene proposto. Acquistato con uno sconto significativo WWE 2K Battlegrounds può comunque essere considerato un buon prodotto, che va in parte a rimediare a quanto (non) fatto lo scorso anno dall’ormai famigerato WWE 2K20.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds non è un gioco brutto ma crediamo che il suo vero potenziale non sia stato minimamente sfruttato: il gameplay è divertente ma i moveset legati alle classi ne minano certamente la varietà sul medio/lungo periodo. Pur non essendo ampio come quelli della serie tradizionale, il roster è pieno di leggende e combattenti d’eccezione, che però in larga parte vanno comprati coi Bucks e non costano poco. Il sistema di doppia valuta è a nostro parere sbilanciato, giacché i giocatori che (giustamente) non vogliono ricorrere alle microtransazioni devono spendere diverse ore per sbloccare i contenuti più interessanti. La Campagna e Sfida Battleground non ci hanno convinto e se a ciò aggiungiamo la mancanza di alcune stipulazioni importanti, soprattutto vista la buona “riedizione” di Steel Cage, è impossibile non pensare a ciò che il titolo di Saber Interactive avrebbe potuto essere con una serie di accorgimenti in più.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds es un juego con una clara vocación “casual” para acercarnos al mundo de la lucha libre de una manera simpática y desenfadada. El problema es que a las pocas horas de juego terminas viéndole todas las costuras: los luchadores son demasiado parecidos entre sí, se observan fallos en bastantes animaciones, se sufren ralentizaciones inexplicables. Jugablemente presenta mecánicas muy limitadas basadas en la pulsación rápida de botones sin aviso previo y una dificultad de la CPU bastante tramposa.

Hay una buena base sobre la que ir construyendo, pero tendrían que mejorar la IA, hacer que los luchadores sean más diferentes entre sí, y abrazar todavía más la locura. Esperaba que estaríamos ante el sucesor de WWE All-Stars que no tuvimos, y por desgracia, se queda por atrás de este. Al menos, el juego ha salido a precio reducido, y para los amantes del wrestling, tener un juego con el que ponerse en cualquier momento para echar unos combates, no está mal. Aun así, espero que Saber Interactive tome note, y nos traigan un WWE 2K Battlegrounds que sí logre dar con la clave para tenernos enganchados tanto en solitario como con amigos durante mucho tiempo.

Overall, there’s a quick fix of enjoyment here at most in what is a decidedly average wrestling game. And that unfortunately means that it’s back to the drawing board for 2K as WWE 2K Battlegrounds hasn’t filled the void of the main series.

Jährliches Lizenzspiel der WWE von 2K, welches dieses Jahr andere Wege einschlägt und sich dementsprechend als Arcade-Brawler versucht. Das Kampfspiel bringt gute Ansätze mit sich, scheitert aber leider an technischen Schwächen, Balancing-Problemen und unangemessener Mikrotransaktionen.

Más que una opción real dentro del género, WWE 2K Battlegrounds parece un intento de salir al paso y tener algo, lo que sea, para ofrecer este año a los fans de la lucha libre. Es como si después de su ruptura con Yuke’s, 2K Games no supiera muy bien qué hacer con la franquicia y anduviera probando cuanto se le ocurre. El resultado de esas pruebas y experimentos es una entrega menor, con recortes abrumadores en cuanto al contenido y la calidad del mismo (ese modo historia y su matchmaking no pueden ser más decepcionantes). Al final queda un brawler demasiado simplón y repetitivo al que se le ven todas las costuras tras un par de horas. Solo funciona como party game para cuando tenemos visita porque es accesible, fácil y al menos de primeras, divertido. Sin embargo, en vez de estar enfocado así, como un party game, el título está lleno de políticas que le van a la contra y ensucian esa idea, véase el caso de los micropagos. 2K ha hecho hallazgos interesantes, como los gráficos de aspecto cartoon y los nuevos y exageradísimos disparates que ahora pueden ocurrir en combate, pero debería haberlos potenciado más y acompañado mejor. Tal cual está, la experiencia acaba siendo la de un machabotones insulso y solo recomendable para los fans de la licencia.

Far less stuffy than the mainline WWE 2K series and designed for quick bursts of entertaining casual play with friends, WWE 2K Battlegrounds lack of depth and technical issues sadly undercut its energetic audiovisual presentation. Hardly the sequel to WWE All-Stars that so many wanted, WWE 2K Battlegrounds could simply be so much more - but it just... isn't.

Avec WWE 2K Battlegrounds, 2K Games nous livre un jeu de catch qui se rapproche davantage d’un brawler multijoueur que d’une simulation de catch. Accessible, fun et délirant à plusieurs, WWE 2K Battlegrounds manque toutefois cruellement de profondeur dans son gameplay et ne parvient pas vraiment à convaincre non plus au niveau de son contenu avec son mode solo peu engageant. Il suffira ici de retenir quelques combinaisons de touche pour multiplier les K.O. face à une I.A. qui n’est pour le coup pas des plus réactives. Ennuyant en solo, Battlegrounds parvient à montrer un visage très différent à plusieurs, grâce à ses power-ups délirants et ses interactions avec les décors, gages de bagarres rocambolesques. Pas sûr toutefois que vous passerez plus d’une dizaine d’heures sur le jeu. Sur le plan technique, il ne s’agit pas non plus d’une claque. La bande son est minimaliste, la direction artistique douteuse et les animations saccadées. 

Going in the direction of a simple, easy to pick up and play pro wrestling game was absolutely the right move as an alternative to the simulation-heavy mainline WWE 2K games, but WWE 2K Battlegrounds botches what should’ve been a sure thing. Its gameplay is too shallow, its microtransactions are incredibly obtrusive, its cartoony art style lacks charm, its hit detection is constantly wonky... the list goes on and on. It can be fun on a very casual level for a short amount of time if you’ve got a group of friends to play with, and it's not quite a disaster on the level of WWE 2K20, but WWE 2K Battlegrounds is nonetheless another in a growing series of misses for WWE video games.

A simple but enjoyable party game that’s very easy to pick up and play with friends – and a considerably better video game than last year’s WWE 2K20.

Spielerisch is WWE 2K Battlegrounds nicht wirklich doll, aber trotzdem ganz spaßig. Als Wrestlingfan vermisse ich ein größeres Move-Set und verschiedene Signature-Aktionen der WWE-Superstars, aber ich bin hier auch nicht ganz die Zielgruppe. Battlegrounds will ein zugänglicher, überdrehter Brawler sein, den jeder schnell kapiert. Das passt auch soweit. Gerade im lokalen Multiplayer macht der Titel kurzzeitig echt Laune. Spielt man jedoch alleine, wird man von der doofen KI genervt. Zockt man hingegen online, gibt es viel zu viele Schweine, die Fehler in der Spielmechanik nutzen und nur Finisher spammen. Zudem gibt es einige technische Probleme wie die instabile Framerate oder kleinere Bugs und Glitches. Hinzu kommt dann auch noch ein Fortschrittssystem, das ganz klar auf Mikrotransaktionen ausgelegt ist. Schade.

Painihimoisella porukalla sarjakuvakohelluksesta irtoaa hyviä hetkiä, mutta muutaman liikkeen ja Quick Time Eventien takominen käy nopeasti tylsäksi.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds fehlt es ingesamt an Balance. Gelegenheitsspieler werden überfordert, Enthusiasten fühlen sich in ihrer Freiheit eingeschränkt. Das Spiel macht Spaß, wenn man es erst einmal verstanden hat. Allerdings wird dieser Spielspaß erheblich durch das fragwürdige Monetarisierungsmodell eingeschränkt und so gut unterhält der Titel dann doch nicht, dass man sich dem stundenlangen Grinden hingeben möchte. WWE 2K Battlegrounds macht im Ansatz vieles richtig und scheitert schlussendlich an einer anständigen Umsetzung.

Ich bringe es mal auf den Punkt: WWE 2K Battlegrounds ist -mal wieder- kein wirklich gutes Wrestlingspiel, welches zu allem Überfluss an zahlreichen technischen Mängeln leidet. Darüber hinaus übertreibt es der Publisher -mal wieder- mit den Echtgeld-Käufen. Hat man noch immer nichts von der harten NBA-Kritik gelernt? Wirklich schade um den einsteigerfreundlichen Brawler. Mit etwas mehr Zeit und Geld hätte Take-Two eine spannende Alternative zu den „herkömmlichen“ WWE-2K-Titeln etablieren können.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds no estaba destinado a ser el mejor juego de la franquicia. Su objetivo era el de ser algo distinto que sirviese de aperitivo hasta que llegase el siguiente juego principal. Por desgracia, una serie de decisiones en cuanto a la monetización abusiva han impedido que eso sea una realidad.

Like an early card match at a pay-per-view event, WWE 2K Battlegrounds is meant to keep the crowd entertained before the main event re-enters the arena, but it's rarely as flashy or fun as its concept implies.

The concept behind WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a solid one, but it's let down time and time again by limited and repetitive combat, dopey AI, an excessively locked roster and a series of bewildering design choices that really should have been questioned at some point during production. We hope it eventually gets an improved sequel, but until then, the Switch is still lacking a proper main event-tier wrestling game.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds has significantly less online and technical issues than most of the WWE 2K games, but it still struggles to shake off its identity as a small-scale, "budget" game. A lot of it feels rushed or lacks depth, and the result is a relatively barebones, repetitive wrestling game that loses its appeal in mere hours. That being said, those looking to use it as a multiplayer party game may find it to be a worthwhile investment after a price drop.

I slutändan går det att ha kul väldigt korta stunder med rätt sällskap i WWE 2K Battlegrounds, men så snart man inser att det verkligen inte finns någon finess, så mynnar det ut i ett frenetiskt knapphamrande. Och jag tycker det är så fruktansvärt synd, för designen är en fullträff och rolig digital party-wrestling är något alla kan ha kul med oavsett om man gillar pro-wrestling eller ej. Det här känns som mest som ett riktigt snabbt hopslängt spel optimerat för att sälja mikrotransaktioner, och faktiskt ännu värre än de ordinarie WWE-spelen. De är visserligen inte heller roliga att spela, men innehåller åtminstone något.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a game that seems like it exists purely to house its storefront, offering predatory microtransactions which would be overly pricy in a free-to-play game. In a paid title - even a budget one - they're offensive. The only silver lining here is that the game is rubbish anyway, so feel free to skip it without feeling like you're missing out.

If there was some sort of "unlock all" option for WWE 2K Battlegrounds that gave everything the game had to offer from the start, this might be an easy recommendation for wrestling fans looking for a multiplayer party game. Throwing wrestlers to alligators and electrified cage matches all have their fleeting charms, and a more fully-featured game could easily sneak into a rotation of favorites. As it stands, the implementation of grind and paid currency wring all the fun out of the experience, leaving a game with some potential that isn't worth the effort to see all the way through. Much like a modern-day RAW main event, the in-ring action is sound if not memorable, but it's the decisions behind the scenes that really ruin it for everyone.
