Aunque tras un primer vistazo puede que creamos estar viendo un juego de balón prisionero, lo cierto es que Super Dodgeball Beats es otra cosa. El estudio español FinalBoss Games ha querido hacer un juego musical competitivo, y su resultado es mas que satisfactorio. Seguir el ritmo para machacar al rival mientras sorteamos las trampas que nos tiran es muy divertido si te gustan estas mecánicas. ¡Prepárate para partidos de lo más marchosos!

Super Dodgeball Beats is a lot of fun to play however, it does have issues. Repetitive songs and a misleading description do take away something from the game. That being said, the game is a tonne of fun and is worth grabbing if you’re looking for something to get into in short bursts.

Super Dodgeball Beats es una mina de fantasía, humor, ritmo y acción desenfrenada. Una propuesta artística muy acertada con una estética desenfadada y atractiva. Sus mecánicas fluyen al ritmo de su música para arrastrar al jugador a un mundo adictivo de puros reflejos y concentración. Ideal para disfrutar en partidas cortas, solo o con amigos. Con un diseño de escenarios muy cuidado y unos personajes que, ganes o pierdas, te sacarán una buena sonrisa. Dada su naturaleza, y a pesar del buen diseño de su modo "historia" y multijugador local, es una lástima que no cuente con multijugador online. A pesar de ello, es un juego muy recomendable por su propuesta sólida, adictiva, divertida y muy original.

Super Dodgeball Beats es un juego que requiere mucha habilidad y rapidez. La jugabilidad es muy básica y  eso hace que sea muy divertido por lo que no te aburres para nada. Si te cansas del torneo, puedes jugar con un amigo y seguir pasando buenas horas jugando. 

La experiencia de este título resulta ser muy agradable, esa combinación de estilo, graficos y música, sencillamente atrapan al jugador dandole muchas horas de diversión, claro esta, en el modo multijugador, porque a pesar de su gran temática de juego, su modo para un jugador, es decir, el modo campaña, queda muy corto y se puede terminar demasiado rápido, pero dejando de lado esto, Super DodgeBall Beats es una buena opción para agregar a tu biblioteca de juegos de Nintendo Switch, lo recomiendo.

Super Dodgeball Beats puede ser un juego de escasa duración, pero su propuesta es sumamente divertida y visualmente es todo un espectáculo para nuestros ojos, así que bien merece la pena echarle un vistazo, nunca mejor dicho. La mecánica musical es directa y fácil de aprender, aunque como suele decirse, difícil de dominar, y no es baladí, dado que los power-ups enemigos y el ritmo frenético de muchos temas harán que debamos darlo todo con nuestros mandos. Toque anime 100%, melodías j-pop para el recuerdo y mucho sentido del humor, ¿Qué más podemos pedir?

Super Dodgeball Beats es un arcade musical que no consigue explotar todo su potencial. Es divertido de jugar y cuenta con unos gráficos preciosos. Sin embargo, sus escasos modos de juego y el mal entendimiento de los potenciadores en las canciones limitan bastante el recorrido de un "gran" videojuego que se ha quedado solo en "bueno".

If not for the majority of Super Dodgeball Beats‘ gameplay woes arising from its visual obstructions, I’d be totally comfortable giving its visuals a score of 1.5 or 2. The art style and animation convey a lot of personality. Its comic scenes are bare-bones, existing in black and white rather than being colored in for what I imagine are stylistic reasons, but the level of visual polish is otherwise on par with the most artistically-minded indie studios. The music in Super Dodgeball Beats is also really good. I didn’t think that was the case at first, with the title music possessing a certain tinny quality that I found unpleasant (which I’m confident has something to do with a downsampler on one of the instruments), but the high-energy dance music is paired with specific opponents in interesting ways. 

Super Dodgeball Beats is a simplistic game and a button masher. It lacks depth and gets stale after a while. It’s fun at first don’t get me wrong, but it severely lacks content, other then what it comes with. I would like to see DLC that builds on what makes the game good, its music. While Super Dodgeball Beats isn’t bad, it’s not good either. It is begging out for more content and FinalBoss Games might well need to go back to drawing on this one. I give Super Dodgeball Beats a ThumbCulture Bronze Award.

Super Dodgeball Beats is fine. The music is good, visuals are tip top and the mechanics are polished. It’s just dull. It gets pretty old, quickly, and without an online multiplayer option, it’s not really worth the money. If you’re determined to win the championship and rise up through each of the leagues, you’ll probably squeeze out a good few hours of gameplay, but I don’t see this being the game that attracts people who aren’t fond of the genre to it.

Super Dodgeball Beats' manga-influenced visuals are sure to draw you in, but sadly aren't backed up by its middle-of-the-road rhythm action.
