Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow - Mirror Of Fate is an ambitious title with great boss battles, wonderful visuals and intuitive combat, making it a good fit for the Nintendo 3DS.

But it won't be to everybody's taste. The narrative is underwhelming, and with its relatively straightforward ten-hour campaign focusing on action rather than exploration, fans of the series' RPG elements will be disappointed.

With Deadlight, Tequila Works has clearly taken inspiration from the critical and commercial recent success of Limbo on Xbox Live Arcade. The gameplay in this original survivalist horror title nods to PlayDead's masterpiece, but that is not a bad thing.
