Ce Dynasty Feud est selon moi est très belle réalisation. Le studio indépendant espagnol nous montre ici toute l’étendue de leur talent et donne envie de les revoir prochainement sur une autre création. Ce titre apportera à coup sur de longue partie de plaisir entre amis tout comme les joueurs plus axés compétitifs trouveront leur bonheur. Dans le style d’un Super Smash Bros Brawl, les joueurs n’ayant pas put y goûter trouveront ici une excellente alternative.

Dynasty Feud is cool. It’s really cool. Jumping around and trying not to get hit by a guy with something resembling Cloud Strife’s sword, all while maneuvering and wall-jumping while trying to kill what appears to be a color-swapped Alphys from Undertale; yeah, I enjoyed myself. There’s great diversity in its cast of fighters, and the main idea it introduces to the “Smashspace” (screw it, I’m on a roll with these today) pulls through beautifully. There’s a learning curve, and not an easy one, either. Once you’ve mastered that, though, you’ve got a game that stands right up there with the best of the neo-king-of-the-hills out there. The servers could use some work, and it would be nice if all the modes could be played wherever, but what’s here is five whole generations of fun.

Es un brawl con estilo propio, rápido, adictivo y energizante. Lo mejor para esas quedadas en casa con amigos y poder echarte unas risas con ellos. Quizás su fallo más grande es su originalidad pero aún así es capaz de hacer cumplir su premisa en un ambiente divertido, con soltura y muy pero que muy colorido.

Es imposible no acordarse de clásicos como Super Smash Bros, y se nota la inspiración de la franquicia de Nintendo. Pero además tiene ese sabor indie que recuerda a títulos como Nidhogg o Duck Game. El diseño de escenarios dinámicos también nos puede traer a la mente juegos como Flat Heroes. En este último aspecto debemos estar bien atentos, ya que es tremendamente fácil morir por los peligros del entorno (con el que incluso podemos interactuar a nuestro favor en el combate), un escenario que poco a poco va reduciendo el espacio de batalla y agiliza mucho las rondas de juego.

Dynasty Feud es un juego muy divertido, variado y sobresaliente en lo artístico. Este último punto es digno de aplaudir, sobretodo cuando hablamos de un estudio independiente compuesto por pocos personajes y que ha sido capaz de crear un título variado en todos los aspectos, 40 campeones totalmente distintos y sin ser repetitivos entre ellos, unos escenarios destructibles e interactivos, así como varias modalidades de juego de lo más entretenidas. El programa PlayStation Talents no deja de sorprendernos y Dynasty Feud es una grata sorpresa, un título que jugar estas navidades con familia y amigos y pasar grandes momentos de diversión.

Overall Dynasty Feud is a fun and frantic platform fighter that’s perfect for short couch sessions when you’ve got buddies over. For those wanting a little more, the combat has some nuances that will take some skill to master.

Dynasty Feud nos lleva al terreno de los juegos de pelea multitudinaria más clásicos, con influencias de grandes clásicos y un estilo muy marcado por la velocidad. Tal vez falto de mayor originalidad, sí que sabe cumplir con la premisa que nos plantea y lo hace con soltura y colorido.

Dynasty Feud es frenético, colorido y tremendamente divertido jugando en compañía de hasta cuatro personas. La variedad de posibilidades de cada uno de los luchadores abre un amplio abanico de posibilidades, pero se trata de un producto escaso en profundidad y eso le pasa factura si lo comparamos ante otras propuestas.

Whilst I feel that the appeal of Dynasty Feud on PC might be somewhat limited by the accessibility of local multiplayer to the broadest spectrum of gamers, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad game. In fact, it’s a really good one, that has some good ideas and presents a lot of depth to those who will take the time to access it. For some though, playing the game will be restricted to online games only, which deaden the excitement somewhat, and because there is no single player mode, long term appeal will wax and wane.

Kaia Studio, nos trae Dynasty Feud un juego que cuenta con un estilo propio, un juego frenético y unos mapas coloridos acompañadas de unas melodías muy bien elegidas que nos ayudara a pasar unos buenos ratos con nuestros amigos. Por desgracia el hecho de que sea obligatorio jugar con amigos en partidas locales o en línea, al no contar con modos en solitario con personajes controlados por CPU, nos dificultará mucho a corto y largo plazo. Depender de una comunidad es muy arriesgado cuando se trata de juegos independientes, porque a menos que cuente con muchos usuarios nos podemos quedar sin jugar en un futuro. Sony debió pensar en ello, pues ha incluido Dynasty Feud como juego gratuito del próximo PlayStation Plus.

Speaking in the most general sense possible, Dynasty Feud is a mixed bag. It certainly has some charm and the concept and maps are good, but it still feels like it’s a game stuck in the conceptual phase, lacking the fully fleshed out ideas that would make it a must-play game.

Ich mag die grundlegende Spielidee von Dynasty Feud mit den Teams bestehend aus sehr unterschiedlichen Charakteren, mit verschiedenen Fähigkeiten – auch wenn das Herausfinden der individuellen Stärken und Schwächen einiges an Einarbeitungszeit erfordert. Ich finde auch die witzige Präsentation super und wenn man erst einmal in einer Partie drinnen ist, dann macht das Spiel verdammt viel Spaß. Eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung kann ich aber trotzdem nicht abgeben. Balancing-Probleme sowie die Spiel- und Netzwerkperformance kann man sicher mit den kommenden Patches in den Griff bekommen, aber das bringt alles nichts, wenn die Spieleranzahl weiterhin auf diesem niedrigen Niveau stagniert. So bleibt Dynasty Feud aktuell auf die lokalen Mehrspieler-Duelle beschränkt. Hat man da aber genug Gleichgesinnte um den Bildschirm versammelt, dann zeigt das Spiel zumindest in Ansätzen, welches Potential in ihm stecken würde.

Dynasty Feud has everything it needs to be one of the most original takes on the arena fighter genre yet, which makes it all the more disappointing when it somehow manages to drop the ball in nearly every regard. The roster is whimsical and each team of five is fleshed out with their own quirks, but the combat itself feels wholly unbalanced. A slight delay to characters' actions and a lack of fluid mobility makes battles stiff and unnatural, combined with too many stage hazards to count. Deciding exactly where the next combatant in the roster spawns after a death is simply too easy to take advantage of and too difficult to counter. There's a fantastic game hiding inside of Dynasty Feud, but it's going to take a lot of digging before it fully comes out.
