The highlight of the game is the music, at least for me. I have a soft spot for rock music and this soundtrack does indeed rock! It’s energetic and blood pumping, perfect for any action game! Too bad it’s not offered as an additional purchase though, it’s really great and kudos to the composer.

So, should you buy this game? If you like arcade beat ’em ups, playing with friends at home and/or cheeky humor this is definitely a buy!

Por último cabe destacar que en comparación con la versión para iOS al poder conectar un mando al PC, opción mucho más que recomendable, el juego tiene mucha mejor jugabilidad y también lo hace mucho más sencillo, en general este Arson & Plunder: Unleashed es un buen juego si te apetece echarte unas risas solo o con amigos pegando unas buenas tortas a los humanos.

I’m surprised how quickly I was hooked into Arson and Plunder, and was also shocked at how quickly it was over. I spent roughly an hour and a half in the campaign, and another 30 minutes in survival mode. Obviously with a game this short replayability is a bit low, with only 2 additional skins to unlock, a local high-score, and maybe some local co-op to keep you coming back. However, with special moves galore, a great sense of humor, and a gorgeous aesthetic, I do not hesitate to recommend Arson and Plunder to beat-em-up fans of any age. Waar Castle Crashers je nog het idee gaf dat beat ‘em ups een plek hebben in deze moderne tijden, laat Arson & Plunder vooral de meest irritante aspecten van het genre herleven: de traagheid, het eeuwige gebuttonbash, het gebrek aan tactiek, opties en variatie. De game is niet duur, maar we zien geen reden om hier wat voor prijs dan ook voor neer te tellen. Mocht je zo verlegen zitten om de tijden van Double Dragon en Golden Axe te laten herleven, dan raden we je aan om een van de honderden soortgelijke, maar dan wel gratis, flashgames op internet/NewGrounds te zoeken.
