Our protagonist Dan Terkai, incomprehensibly wakes up being buried in an old cemetery. He manages to surface, and looks at himself surprised seeing how his body is turned into a bag of bones, it is a filthy skeleton.

He realizes that his name is inscribed on the stone with a message written in blood:
You are destined to know what has happened to you, you only have one option if you want to recover your SOUL, your BODY and your IDENTITY. You will have to face your great fear: Hell. You will descend to purgatory until you reach it. There you will have the answer to your death.

Guide Dan through 25 levels of madness, collecting the vials of blood and parts of his heart to finally put his body back together.
