Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t much fun for me. There’s a decent foundation here, but it’s weighed down by too many rooms to explore, too many suspects who start to blur together, and far too many objects to sift through. Combined with a poor map system, limited inventory space, slow character movement, unclear objectives, and noticeable input lag, the game quickly became frustrating. Instead of feeling like a clever mystery to unravel, I felt overwhelmed. The sheer cognitive load turned what should have been an engaging investigation into something that felt more like work than enjoyment. That said, if you have a few hours to spare and enjoy obtuse mystery games that demand a lot of patience, this might still be worth a look.

As a puzzle game, Is This Seat Taken? isn’t terribly difficult, but that’s not the point. It’s a cozy puzzle game with a wholesome story, and that’s exactly what I needed. In a fast-paced, stressful world, it’s nice to have something more laid-back, which brought a smile to my face.

For players new to the series, Everhood 2 offers a truly trippy experience. But for those who have played the first game, while Everhood 2 is still great, don’t expect to be blown away by its uniqueness this time around.

Frank and Drake is a must-own if you are a fan of visual novels. The story between the two characters is riveting, as the mystery they are trying to solve pulls you in straight from the beginning. The artwork is a masterpiece, and the rotoscoping technique for the animation brings Frank and Drake to life. While there is a balance issue in some of the puzzles, most are still easy to solve. Considering this game has several different endings, you’ll finish the game and want to jump back in for another round.
