Even so, it is precisely because it doesn't try to be like the others that *Denshattack!* wins you over. In a market where so many titles follow well-worn formulas, this small project chooses to take a chance on a highly unlikely concept—and manages to make it work. For anyone who grew up playing *Tony Hawk*, *Crazy Taxi*, or even *Jet Set Radio*, it’s impossible not to smile throughout the adventure.
I never thought I’d write this sentence, but here we are: now I can say I was around back when a train driver managed to turn a train into a skateboard.

Blades of Fire

Blades of Fire doesn't try to reinvent the genre, but rather reinvents itself within its own rules. By abandoning the traditional leveling system and focusing all progression on forging and weapon customization, it offers a more focused and cohesive experience. It may not appeal to everyone—especially those seeking more accessible approaches—but those willing to face its challenges will find a rich, engaging, and memorable adventure.
MercurySteam thus creates a title that honors its influences without ever becoming hostage to them, and that proves there's still room for innovation within a well-established formula. Blades of Fire is, above all, a game of endurance—physical, emotional, and creative—where every battle won, every weapon forged, and every step taken into the unknown counts.

Despite the frustrating hitboxes, the voices that break the immersion in the game's atmosphere or the flaws in the story's narration, The Spirit of the Samurai offers a reasonable experience in a well-detailed 2D world with an interesting combat system and stop-motion animations that synergize well with each other.
