“Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition” es un excelente juego de plataformas, resolución de puzzles, colaboración entre dos jugadores —o dos personajes controlados por una misma persona—, y manejo de diferentes elementos de gameplay. Se controla muy bien, las gráficas son sencillas pero atractivas, y hay suficientes niveles como para mantenerlo entretenido a uno por un buen tiempo. No es todos los días que uno termina probando un título de este tipo para dos jugadores en modo cooperativo, por lo que definitivamente celebro la salida de “Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition” para la Nintendo Switch.

Twin Robots es un modesto plataformas de acción y puzles que ofrece ideas originales y buen rato de entretenimiento en forma de retos basados en puzles sencillos; no se puede obviar la presencia de algunos fallos menores en los ángulos de la cámara, la patente oscuridad o la falta de algún modo de juego extra. Las novedades que aporta en esta versión Ultimate respecto a la original de Wii U no es que sean excesivas, pero al menos invitan a darle una segunda oportunidad además de para aprovechar el factor portátil. En definitiva, estamos ante un título al que merece la pena darle una oportunidad, especialmente recomendado para tenerlo como una buena opción de plataformas para dos jugadores.

Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition is a good puzzle platformer. The levels start out easy and then ramp up in difficulty. This may not be the best puzzle platformer on the Nintendo Switch, but if you like this genre, then you will want to check out Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition.

The game is challenging but also fun, and can easily be played at home or on the go. I did, for some reason, enjoy it more when playing in Portable Mode, but your experience could be different. I also recommend that you get someone to join you for the couch co-op since that way you’ll have an easier time completing the game.

Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition is pretty fun while it lasts, and steps have been taken to ensure it lasts longer. It takes a fairly unique premise, and makes it more enjoyable with the option to play in local co-op. If you missed it on Wii U, this Switch version is the one to consider.

Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition lives up to its namesake and offers both solid single-player and co-op platforming action for a rather sensible price. If you played and enjoyed the previous versions, there are enough new additions to warrant a new visit while players meeting Watt and Volt for the first time will find this a rather pleasing package whose only really fault is the fact that is landing on a console with a library filled with several other exceptional platforming games.

Thinice Games has done a solid job by creating a fun (if slightly bland) platformer. Levels hold enough complexity to keep up the challenge and the sense of progression is balanced very well. Its lack of a story-based campaign is sorely missed and the repetitiveness of the environments is noticeable at times, but despite the infrequent flaws a good time can be found in Twin Robots.

By no means is Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition the best platformer game in the world, it has better responsive controls than most other platformers, it excels at being a co-op experience as players can go their separate ways and have the screen follow their actions, but more importantly, it is a great game for aspiring gamers to try out. It is an improved child-friendly title that you can allow your children to play and discover the platformer genre for themselves, or play it with them, as Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition is a game that can be enjoyed by adults also. Also when it releases on February 23, it will be available for the lower price of $6.49 as from the day it releases to March 5, it will be available at an introductory offer for a limited time, so if you do feel the need to check it out, then this weekend and next week is the time to do so.

Perfect for casual or lengthier periods of play, Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition offers a very solid experience, whether you choose to play solo or using its co-operative gameplay. If you’ve already played the original title, then there is certainly enough new content here to justify another purchase and if you’re new to the series, then you’re certainly in for a treat; especially if you’re a fan of platform games that require some lateral thinking to them.

Overall Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition is a well-made platformer that could easily serve as an introduction to the genre. Whether playing with a friend or by yourself the relatively gentle slope of challenge does end up hitting its stride, getting a bit harder as you get to the end, but it does take a while if you’re a platforming veteran before pulling out some more challenging scenarios. The result isn’t a thrilling game but that one should work well for the proper audience.

Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition es un juego al que cualquiera al que le gusten las plataformas podría jugar porque se hace entretenido, sobretodo si juegas con algún amigo, además de ser bastante barato en la eShop, por lo que no tienes excusa para no comprarlo.

All play modes are great for this game, but I found myself drawn to playing in handheld mode more often than not. Nothing is lost while transitioning this game to the big screen, so go at it with whatever mode suits you

Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition es una aventura humilde, de un marcadísimo toque indie que pretende llamar a aquellos que no den especial importancia a los aspectos técnicos y se centren más en buscar diversión directa sin preámbulos. Jugarlo en cooperativo multijugador es la mejor manera de disfrutarlo, ya que en solitario notaremos aun más sus carencias y defectos. Lástima que no contemos con una mayor variedad de escenarios y trampas, pues la idea es atractiva, pero necesitaría de un trabajo de pulido bastante profundo para alcanzar cotas más altas de calidad.

En conclusión, si creéis que os puede interesar Twin Robots y sois de los que saben que la duración de un juego no tiene por qué ser relativa a su calidad, o simplemente os llama la atención el título, os puede ofrecer unas 3 horas por 4.99€. Obviamente, la gracia de éste está en completar los 28 niveles en el menor tiempo posible, es ahí donde se encuentra el reto. Veo un destello que me hace querer ver lo que Thinice nos pueda dar en el futuro, un destello que puede perfeccionarse y ser la firma reconocible de sus próximos proyectos. No se gana el Goya a la primera de cambio, pero la constancia, el esfuerzo y la perseverancia, es lo que te hace mejorar. Así que desde aquí, esperamos ver qué nos traen tanto Thinice como Ratalaika en el futuro.

Visualmente es una delicia. Qué va, en realidad es un juego soso y descafeinado hasta decir basta, sin ningún tipo de atractivo ni variedad. Es la lanza que termina de rematar a Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition. Se salva de la quema porque funciona como plataformas. Sin embargo, no perdería el tiempo ni el dinero con este juego. No es malo, pero parece hecho por un estudiante de prácticas en sus ratos libres mientras no le mira el jefe.

En conclusión Twin Robots es un juego que a priori puede resultar muy interesante, tiene algunas características que lo hacen especial pero a la hora de la verdad nos encontramos con un juego muy simple que puedes pasártelo en una tarde sin ningún tipo de dificultad y queda prácticamente relegado a conseguir un trofeo de platino si superas todos los niveles con los dos personajes vivos, recoger las baterías y algún trofeo especifico suelto que no supone ningún riesgo.

La otra cara de la moneda la pone su precio, realmente competitivo para la diversión que puedes encontrar aunque, no lo olvidemos, el principal lastre que arrastra este Twin Robots para PS4 es que no encuentra su sitio ni entre el catálogo ni entre el público. Sencillamente porque Twin Robots no tiene como target un poseedor de PS4, ni un poseedor de esta espera jugar a un título de estas características en su consola. Aún así, por su módico precio deberías probarlo si te atrae el género y te pica la curiosidad por saber en qué han estado trabajando los chicos de Thinice, aunque su único aliciente es una jugabilidad con toques originales que arrastra algunos problemas de control y cuyo apartado técnico no ha sido retocado.

Twin Robots is over in a couple of hours, and its lack of personality means that it’s unlikely to stay in your memory for much longer than the time spent playing it. Given that the PlayStation Vita version also lacks the local multiplayer functionality that the other versions offer, what you have here is an inferior version of a game that is, on all accounts, undeniably lacklustre. While I can’t rightfully say that there is anything that doesn’t work as expected, there isn’t anything in particular that stands out, either.

Twin Robots struggles to elevate itself beyond an average experience. The lack of a narrative and the constant laboratory setting leave something lean and stagnant. Basic by design, there's little to recommend here. Local cooperative play might squeak some extra time out of what's a functional but bland effort.

Twin Robots es un juego divertido pero extremadamente simple y mediocre en muchas de sus facetas. No es ni muy largo, ni muy difícil, ni muy bonito, ni tiene personajes llamativos… pero a su manera tiene un poco de todo. Lo mejor que podemos destacar del título es su competitivo precio en la tienda de Nintendo (7,99€) lo que le posiciona como una compra apetecible si queremos jugar a algo nuevo y diferente sin dejarnos los cuartos en ello. Desde luego hoy por hoy no sorprenderá a nadie, pero quizás por su relajante música o el ratillo de diversión que pueda dar valga la pena.

Twin Robots takes a fairly unique idea, some rather bland window trimming, and then pelts the player with a lot of bad decisions. This is the videogame equivalent of "Why are you punching yourself?" Worse yet, it feels unpolished, with its poor ledge collision and the robots' ability to fling boxes, and each other, just by running into them. In an already crowded sub-genre of an already crowded main genre, Twin Robots is just too short on its execution to be memorable for very long at all.
