En resumen, Concept Destruction es un videojuego de destrucción de carreras de coches, donde nos divertiremos mucho pasando por los más de 4 modos de juego diferentes que tiene. El diseño de niveles y coches, simulando como si fuera todo de papel y carton, es muy agradable y acertado. Tiene modo multijugador donde podrás retar y competir contra tus amigos en línea para ver quien es el mejor en el modo Campeonato. ¿Serás capaz de conseguir el primer puesto? Nosotros si hemos podido!

“Concept Destruction” es un juego con harto potencial, que sin embargo no llega a cumplir con todo lo prometido. Visualmente maneja una estética muy particular y mejor ejecutada, lo cual le otorga una personalidad muy propia y que lo separa de otras propuestas similares, pero es en el gameplay, pero especialmente en la poca ambición del proyecto, donde se queda un poco corto. El juego no se controla mal, pero tiene algunos problemas —como lo mencionado líneas arriba sobre los dos últimos carros que quedan— que resultan fastidiosos, y más importante, el que no sea pueda jugar de a cuatro, y el que carezca de modos online, definitivamente hace que la experiencia dure menos de lo esperado. Pero quién sabe; los desarrolladores de “Concept Destruction” podrían, al menos, agregar dichas opciones con un parche o actualización. ¡Uno puede soñar!

In the beginning, I felt that Concept Destruction was kind of bland, but after unlocking several vehicles and testing them out, I started to realize that each vehicle changes the strategy of play. It is more than a drive-fast-and-smash-your-car-into-another-vehicle style of game. It is certainly worth the asking price of $4.99.

In conclusion, Concept Destruction is a nice idea let down a little in terms of the sheer scarcity of it all.  Shame the Vita port didn’t come to pass, though we won’t mark it down for that.

Apesar de o jogo não ser muito robusto em termos de conteúdo, suas partidas podem ter regras e grau de dificuldade personalizados, aumentando o desafio e podendo atrair uma gama maior de tipo de jogadores. Os exageros e física desengonçadas dos veículos - ou sucatas ambulantes, como queira - também são um fator humorístico que podem te tirar risadas em alguns momentos.

In other words, Concept Destruction feels more like a really great demo or a proof of concept than a full-fledged must-play game. What’s here is good, but with a few big tweaks and additions this could have been great. As it stands, this is a fun way to spend an hour or so, but if you want more than that, you’ll just have to wait for the developers to flesh this out a little (or rather, a lot) more.

Hay suficientes mapas y coches para pasarlo en grande, pero a medida que jugaba, me dio la sensación de que faltaba contenido. No es que más sea siempre mejor, pero quizá unas habilidades diferentes para los coches o pruebas de otro tipo le hubieran sentado de maravilla. Hablo de una percepción de vacío que se deja notar pasadas unas horas a los mandos. Por otra parte, la banda sonora te sumerge en el frenetismo de cada partida, pero se vuelve un tanto repetitiva. En definitiva, Concept Destruction es un título de lo más atractivo que, por un precio reducido, ofrece grandes dosis de diversión.

Concept Destruction is a simple, well-executed idea and that is fun for all ages. It’s basically Destruction Derby but at a budget level. It’s easy to pick up and play, and even with the limited game modes you will still have a good time.

When Destruction Derby came out, I, like many others, was blown away. It was a concept not exactly common with driving games, and the collision damage was terrific. That was decades ago, however. While Concept Destruction isn’t dated as such, it does lack a little in the gameplay department – which is a shame as the idea of driving a crushed cardboard vehicle on a Micro Machines-like terrain is a good one.

While Concept Destruction sounds great, it’s far from perfect. Considering you can get knocked out pretty quickly by losing your battery (and this can happen often back to back) and you can reach a level of impossible driving, it does hamper the fun. Had it been a bit more lenient in its authenticity and forgo the battery, this game could’ve provided hours of fun. Instead, you’ll boot it up with friends for a race and two and be done.

Simpático, original, con buenos momentos y divertido. Son buenas cosas, pero que quedan muy rebajadas ante la simpleza del conjunto, su escaso contenido y duración, y algunos temas jugables. Concept Destruction te saca una sonrisa, pero no dura demasiado, aún con su modo multijugador local.

Concept Destruction es un nuevo indie sencillo, pero con una gran capacidad para divertir si conseguimos reunir a un grupo de amigos. En solitario se queda demasiado corto de modos, pero igualmente resulta divertido estampar nuestro vehículo de cartón contra otros rivales, recordándonos lo adictivo que puede ser esta mecánica tan clásica como funcional.

Managing your boost and knowing when to put your foot down becomes a key component to success, but there are moments where you’ll be dinged from the back and taken out entirely, which can be frustrating. You can tweak the settings to alter the difficulty, and there’s local multiplayer to keep you engaged. But this is a novelty at best, and once you’ve squashed a few cardboard cars, you won’t be coming back.

So, that is the sum of the experience on offer in Concept Destruction on Xbox One. It’s fun while it lasts, but apart from some interesting achievements to find and unlock, once you’ve done so the urge to play again evaporates like the morning dew in a blast furnace. It’s a fun diversion, but sadly it doesn’t last long enough. I fear this will suffer the same fate as a lot of Ratalaika Games titles – once all the achievements have been rinsed, it’s a one way trip to Uninstallsville. It’s a shame really, as the “Concept” does have legs. It’s just a shame those legs appear to be made of cardboard. 

Concept Destruction is instantly accessible a neat take on the Destruction Derby set on table tops with cardboard cars. There’s some odd rules that can cause a headache and there’s not a lot of content here. After a few hours, you’ll have seen everything the game has under the hood. The local 2-player mode is welcome but the game is crying out for an online battle mode. It won’t be challenging Wreckfest for its crown but if you’re looking for a few hours of brainless crashing and bashing on a budget, you’ll find it here.

La propuesta de Concept Destruction es buena, pero sin embargo, su jugabilidad empaña todo. Tanto los controles como las cámaras, hacen que el juego sea "difícil" de jugar y que resulte ameno para el jugador.

Overall the game is OK, and I would recommend if you want the closest thing to a modern-day Destruction Derby.  I would raise caution and lower expectations as it seems stuck in the past, with there being only a few modes and no online.

Concept Destruction es un videojuego que ofrece entretenimiento fresco y directo al grano. Es todo un acierto por parte del desarrollador alejarse de las carreras – género en el que es difícil aportar algo nuevo – para ofrecer una mecánica diferente con la que descargar toda nuestra rabia. Tiene algunos aspectos mejorables, como el manejo de la cámara, pero es absurdamente divertido reventar coches.
