I give this game an 8 out of 10. It is enjoyable, educational, and with both a 32-year-old and a 7-year-old enjoying this, you can't go wrong. My only points against this game are that BodyQuest can be beaten within a few hours, and can descend into feeling repetitive after only a few levels. Unfortunately, there isn't really anything to get you to come back again after completion, as the questions and puzzles in each level are exactly the same through each playthrough and the customizable items do not affect gameplay in any way and are purely cosmetic. Again, however, this is still a fun learning experience and one I highly recommend for any parent worried about what games their children are playing.

BodyQuest is a very interesting educational experience, that allows you to learn new facts and tidbits on how our bodies work. While the game has a bigger threshold than MathLand, it is still a very solid educational game. Exploring the levels is quite fun, the quizzes are clear, and the overall content is sufficient. Even though you have more options with calculus than the repeating quizzes in BodyQuest, we feel that his game is more polished as a whole. Adding the incentive of the relatable story and the unlockable cosmetics will entice younger players to press on.

BodyQuest is a successful educational experience, that even improved this reviewers knowledge of the human body which, for someone who works in an educational institution, is great to see. While the gameplay is nothing revolutionary, it does make learning fun. BodyQuest would have benefited from throwing more variety at the player with usable items, providing more and multiple enemies and even including a multiplayer system. Although reflecting on this, Artax Games have focused on their target audience and have made learning and video games a good time.

This lack of ambition is no real surprise considering this is a budget title though. With a price-tag of £5.39/$5.99/€5.99 BodyQuest is aware of its limitations, and is probably worth a punt if you happen to have a child who needs to learn more about the human body.

Praise is due to the Artax Team because they have created a very fun and interesting game that is sure to get a lot of people more interested in the human body and learning through play. While there is nothing ground-breaking about the game, and I doubt that it will be remembered for long, even if my prediction of education games is correct. I think it is certainly a title that the developers can be proud of and look to build even bigger and bolder learning games as a result.
