So long as you’re up for a bit of a challenge, you’re gonna have a blast with this game. Denshattack! combines Tony Hawk with Japanese-inspired stylings in a fun-as-hell romp across a future version of the country. You'll race gangs, corporations, and even fate itself as a little engine that could, thanks to the power of friendship, rainbow tracks, and a (sometimes overwhelming) variety of gameplay mechanics.

Denshattack! takes all the best from its long list of influences and mashes them up into a truly one-of-a-kind experience, complemented even further by fluid controls and stunning artistry in its art and music. That being said, an unengaging story and intrusive technical issues tend to derail things, making for a bit of a bumpy ride.

In a market where so many titles follow well-worn formulas, this small project chooses to take a chance on a highly unlikely concept—and manages to make it work. For anyone who grew up playing *Tony Hawk*, *Crazy Taxi*, or even *Jet Set Radio*, it’s impossible not to smile throughout the adventure. I never thought I’d write this sentence, but here we are: now I can say I was around back when a train driver managed to turn a train into a skateboard.

The best compliment I can give *Denshattack!* is to say that many people will probably think it’s a Japanese game. This Spanish indie title is such a well-crafted love letter to quirky Japanese games that it actually feels like one of the games it pays homage to.

Denshattack!! is a great arcade platformer with clear inspiration from Tony Hawk. The exaggerated style fits the unique and energetic gameplay perfectly and the game brings a surprising amount of levels considering its tight design. If you find the idea behind the game at least somewhat interesting, you should give it a try. Personally, Denshattack!! rivals Yoshi and the Mysterious Book as my favourite game experience of the year.

Denshattack is a wacky, over the top experience that demands your full attention and offers plenty of replay value. I will say, though, that for as absurd and fast paced as it is (and believe me, I love my games when they’re completely ridiculous), it throws a few too many mechanics and reflex checks at you all at once, all while expecting you to squeeze in trick combos during a run. It can be a bit overwhelming and frustrating at times, but the game is just so damn charming that it’s somewhat easy to overlook most of its flaws.

 Denshattack! es una de las propuestas más originales, alocadas y sorprendentes que he jugado en mucho tiempo. Su premisa puede parecer una broma, pero Undercoders la convierte en un arcade tremendamente divertido, preciso y repleto de creatividad. Tiene un excelente diseño de niveles, mucha variedad de situaciones y mucha rejugabilidad. Una de las sorpresas de 2026. 

Denshattack! es uno de esos juegos que sale cada cierto tiempo, da un golpe en la mesa y lo pone todo patas arriba. Todos sus aspectos son de un primerísimo nivel. Es divertido, carismático, adictivo y sorprendente a cada momento. Doy gracias a que en esta santa casa no ponemos notas, porque estaría obligado a darle un sobresaliente y sentiría que me quedo corto.

Denshattack! consigue recuperar el espíritu de los grandes arcades de finales de los noventa sin limitarse a imitarlos. Su jugabilidad adictiva, su extraordinaria identidad visual y su enorme capacidad para invitarnos a mejorar constantemente convierten esta producción de Undercoders en una de las propuestas más refrescantes y originales de los últimos años. Pocas veces un concepto tan aparentemente disparatado termina funcionando con tanta naturalidad y ofreciendo una experiencia tan satisfactoria de principio a fin.
