Creatures of Ava is a wonderful adventure that wraps together an interesting story about humankind's view of nature, exploration of a beautiful alien world, and interesting creature taming mechanics. While I'd wish to continue exploring this game a major detriment is how you get locked out of half the game as you play through it.

Song of Nunu doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it certainly excels on what it sets out to do. Indeed, with its outstanding art direction, it presents a worthwhile and heartwarming tale of a boy and his yeti while fleshing out the League of Legends universe just a bit more.

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story

While The Mageseeker's offerings as a whole create a wonderful experience for League of Legends fans, it is held back by some bugs. I experienced numerous bugs ranging across the board. In one instance, the map wouldn't appear for an area which made it difficult to search around for recruits and collectibles. Every so often, enemies would sit in place and just take a beating. In another instance, I couldn't read a conversation because I approached an area from a strange angle, so part of the dialogue bubbles were cut off (it's a weird one, I know). That said, the issues I experienced should be pretty easy to iron out and I don't doubt The Mageseeker will be quite polished once a few small kinks are worked out.

There's little else that can be said about Endling: Extinction Is Forever other than it's a game worth experiencing. Its flaws are minor while its strengths shine through brilliantly, and it's worth every ounce of joy and pain that it brings before the credits roll.

System Of Souls is a first-person 3D puzzle-platformer about recovering human memories in a robot body. The visuals fit with some interesting puzzle designs and intrigue to keep you playing. However, it can be easy to quit from all the frustration caused by the poor platforming, lack of energy, and limited sound. If you've got time, boot up the system and give it a shot.

As an exercise in atmosphere and tension, Ikai has a lot going for it. A take on Japanese folktale survival horror that does carry some novelty. However, some shoddy localization does rob the experience of gameplay clarity as well as muddies an otherwise rote ghost story.

Scarf is a 3D platform puzzle game about retrieving energy from several vibrant worlds with the help of a living scarf. It presents a lovely world with a visually interesting story and the relationship between two very different beings. It suffers from a lot of technical issues, slippery gameplay, and repetitively easy puzzles. Though, if you’re looking for something light and colorful, a scarf may be the right fit for you.

Colossus Down really struggles to give itself a unique identity. The protagonist Nika is a fun enough character to embody, but most of the other characters in the game are either annoying or outdated tropey caricatures. Combat as well is horribly repetitive and puts players at a severe disadvantage. Nika herself wants nothing more than to destroy everything repetitive and not awesome about the world, and I imagine if she saw her own game it would be the first thing to go.
