Colossus Down is the latest instalment in the Psychotics Universe. It lures you in with its charming and cartoonish visuals. Whereas, in reality, the game is bursting from the brim with dark humour and has many witty pop culture references throughout.

Jade’s Ascension is a good effort from a smaller studio, but it runs out of steam quickly. I love that there is a four-player, local co-op mode, but the combat and environments are repetitive. With the addition of a few minor issues, this isn’t a game that will hold your attention for very long.

A Tale of Paper is a good effort marred by some annoying platforming and a camera that doesn’t show enough of where you are headed to avoid some deaths. The environments look decent, and the ending is genuinely sweet. However, the dark parts of the world are a little too dark, and there is no way to adjust it in the game. It’s not a bad game. It just needs a bit more polish.

Relicta is an environmental puzzle game with good level design and clever solutions let down by occasional issues with platforming, inconsistency in physics, and an OK story to weave it all together. The excellent puzzles and visuals are the majority of what you’ll experience, and these are what makes Relicta a game any puzzle fan should consider.

If you enjoy point and click adventures with a few puzzles here and there, this fulfills those ‘needs’. But, with a playthrough that lasts the duration of the average Marvel film, I felt a little disappointed. I will be interested in playing future stories in the Psychotic Universe but would prefer the option to play all of the stories in one go.

Smoots Summer Games is an inoffensive little game with simple controls and plenty to do. It won’t be your game of the summer, but if you can get a couple of mates around it’ll keep you occupied for an hour or two.

Don’t judge a book by its cover, Immortal Redneck isn’t as one dimensional as your typical redneck and offers hours of fun with loads of replay value. For fans of classic arena shooters with Rogue-like and RPG elements thrown in for added value. The lack of checkpoints within the pyramids are frustrating at first, but this becomes less painful as you level up. I do wish Crema Games would lessen the holy tribute toll to only a percentage instead of taking all of your remaining gold to enter pyramids. Immortal Redneck is a rare gem you shouldn’t miss.

Aragami was a great experience. It breathed life into its world, offered many ways to travel and battle, and will provide you with much replability. With only my recognition of a certain plot point and a handful of minor issues serving as cons, I can't praise this game enough. For stealth enthusiasts this is a must buy and I highly recommend it even for those who would normally like to shoot their way past everything. Lince Works has easily made it to my list of developers to watch out for and I can't wait to see what they'll do next.
