A nearly perfect mix of action adventure and Metroidvania styling makes this a must have title for those who enjoy the side-scrolling, platform jumping, leveling up games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Metroid.  There is a lot of fun to be had even if you don’t like those types of games because the jetpack really does add a layer of fun that you don’t get from a triple jump.

Koral brings us on a journey to better understand the destructive nature of certain fishing practices, climate change, and more. The journey is a gorgeous, but humbling one. Highly accessible controls let you control the current of the ocean to solve lightweight puzzles and revitalize the ocean. With 10 chapters to explore, there’s a reasonable amount of content, but it won’t have much in the way of replayability once you’re done, although it’s still a worthwhile journey to embark on.

This is one of the most unique titles on the Switch and should be a must-buy for fans of horror adventure titles. The price is one of the best bargains on the eShop. Despite the short length, the experience of playing this one will be a memorable one. This is the perfect game to play at 2 AM with all the lights off!

Rise and Shine is a colorful and hilarious, if a bit short, adventure through an incredible gaming inspired world. Arcade fans, indie fans, those who aren’t afraid of a few hundred deaths, all will have a lot of fun with this title. If you haven’t checked out this title yet, it would make a great addition any indie gamer’s library.

There aren't many platform games that double as puzzle games. This one fills the niche nicely, and is unique enough to stand out from many of the other games on the 3DS eShop. If you're looking to pass the time with an easy pick-up-and-play game, give this one a shot.
