Overall, Blasphemous 2 is great. Its difficulty curve is very steep though and you should only play this one if you like Dark Souls type games. If you do like those types of games, you’ll find a solid Metriodvana and a good looking game. Blasphemous 2 is a great addition to the Nintendo Switch eshop!

Summer in Mara is a charming game at times. Its characters and its story are interesting. Its world wants to be interesting. Its identity crisis, torn between Wind Waker and Harvest Moon, just doesn’t work that well. This is not a bad game. Its actually a good game that could have been so much better. While we may have picked on the follies present throughout the experience, there is still plenty of charm here that will allow many farming simulation fans to overlook the negatives. For me, however, it just wasn’t enough.

Overall, Asphalt 9: Legends is a sufficiently fun free-to-download Switch game that can get a little annoying with ads for premium purchases, especially for those who are not used to freemium games on mobile. If you can withstand that, and especially if you are willing to purchase the starter pack, the game can provide many sessions of fun and addictive gameplay that is easily picked up for a few quick races whenever you have the time. While not a game that is apt to draw lengthy game time in any given day, it is certainly worth keeping on your system for some quick fun.

Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition is a good puzzle platformer. The levels start out easy and then ramp up in difficulty. This may not be the best puzzle platformer on the Nintendo Switch, but if you like this genre, then you will want to check out Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition.

FreezeMe could have been a great game, but instead, its just an ok one. The game is trying too hard to be Super Mario 64 and never does find its own personality. If lack of personality was its only problem, I suppose that would be alright, but sadly, that not the only thing wrong with this game. At present, FreezeMe has a lot of glitches. The developer may fix these issues via patches, but, honestly, I don’t think that early buyers or reviewers should be beta testers. Still, even if all of its glitches are fixed, FreezeMe will be just be a generic Super Mario 64 clone. FreezeMe’s bright and colorful open world is not enough to recommend this game. Instead, players should go out and play Super Mario 64 again.

This is a game you should own if you are a mobile game junkie. It takes a lot of what you would expect from a mobile game and puts it on the big screen. The visuals are nice to look at, and the game play is easy and fitting for the experience. Although the game may be short, there is a fair amount of replay ability for those looking to go 1000/1000 on the achievement board. If you are looking for something to grab this January, look no further than Funk of Titans. A Crowd of Monsters has done a great job, and despite the issues, I cannot recommend this title enough.
