En definitiva, estamos ante uno de los mejores videojuegos que podemos descargar a través del servicio WiiWare, y que recomendamos encarecidamente a todos los poseedores de Wii. Esperamos no tardar en recibir noticias de nuevos proyectos por parte de Over the Top Games, pues si todos sus juegos son como éste, les auguramos un futuro muy prometedor.

En definitiva, un plataformas divertido, bonito, de corte fantástico, y una auténtica genialidad artística. Técnicamente sobresaliente y toda una delicia jugable. Gustará tanto a amantes de las plataformas como a un recién llegado. Recomendable sin lugar a dudas y más con un precio tan ajustado como el que muestra. No os arrepentiréis.

For the price, this is one hell of an adventure, and the gameplay experience is just about as refined as can be. Players in our forums seem to be digging it as well, so pull on your winged sandals and get in there. You need to track down this Icarus guy before the Gods get any angrier, and heaven known we don't want to incur any more of their wrath!

Combining beautiful graphics, fun flying/gliding mechanics, and interactive environmental elements, NyxQuest offers a nice mix of puzzle and platformer that's good clean fun for the whole family.

Over the Top Games is yet another indie developer to keep a watchful eye on. They came out of nowhere with NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits and have managed to create a beautiful looking game which is also lots of fun to play. It’s true that it is not a massive game, you should be able to beat it 100% in just 3 hours, but those 3 hours will be completely filled with pure platforming bliss. This is exactly the sort of thing we want to see more of on WiiWare and comes highly recommended to all.

NyxQuest está muy bien medido en todos sus aspectos, es un mecanismo bien engrasado y de una construcción muy precisa. En ningún momento hace ostentación de todos estos valores, al contrario, como muchas pequeñas producciones se presenta con cierta humildad, sin armar mucho ruido, y esto lo engrandece todavía más. NyxQuest sorprende y hace que nivel tras nivel el jugador esboce una sonrisa, ría a carcajada limpia por algo que no tiene explicación aparente y pegue un grito cuando un desliz acaba con la frágil y pequeña Nyx. Es el mejor juego de WiiWare y está entre lo mejor de Wii, así de fácil.

NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits is old-school at heart, but completely innovative and fresh when it comes to gameplay. It's an excellent adventure that defines the gold standard for WiiWare. You'll make fun use of the unique functionality of the controllers, with minimal waggle - though the gesturing still makes great sense within the context of the gameplay. When you put this game up against most of what's currently available on the platform, it becomes clear that NyxQuest is a must-own title. It's a challenging adventure - make no mistake - but its rewards are godly.

Over the Top Games ha demostrado que se pueden desarrollar juegos excelentes con medios relativamente limitados, como los que ofrece una plataforma de descarga como Wiiwrae. No es solo cuestión de tener una idea original y resultona, sino de saber aprovechar al máximo los recursos que se tienen al alcance. Y, en este caso, Over the Top lo han sabido hacer con inteligencia, tanto en lo referente a la jugabilidad como al apartado técnico del juego en materia de gráficos y sonido. NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits es un juego preciosista, bello gráfica y sonoramente, y con una jugabilidad envidiable, que ofrece una experiencia de juego divertida, amena, entretenida y sorprendente, sobre todo por la cantidad de opciones de juego que ofrece al jugador dentro de un género aparentemente tan limitado (e, incluso podríamos decir, obsoleto) como es el de la acción y las plataformas en dos dimensiones.

Ver a Over The Top Games triunfar con su juego, un juego nuevo y original, creado con mucho cariño y mucho esfuerzo, y resultando un producto ejemplar, me hace pensar que, tal vez, sea posible volver a valorar las cosas por su calidad, y no por su nombre.

NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits dispone de una duración aproximada de unas cuatro o cinco horas como máximo, que se podrán alargar si el jugador desea recorrer las fases de nuevo en busca de los 20 tesoros ocultos que están repartidos entre todas las pantallas. En su momento cuando salió a la venta en Wii un servidor recomendó de verdad la compra de este juego, ya que probablemente no os defraudará y ahora que está en PC y Mac lo vuelvo a hacer, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta el equipo que ha estado detrás de su desarrollo y que esperamos que en el futuro Over the Top Games nos sorprendan tan gratamente con Fancy Pants Adventures, el título en el que están trabajando actualmente.

NyxQuest is a very well made and fun platforming game in the style of LostWinds. The two titles share in common very ambient presentations complemented by great graphics and moody music. And for better or worse, they both also brandish slow and methodical pacing, so if you found LostWinds a bore, you probably won't like NyxQuest either. I happen to like Over the Top's first WiiWare effort a lot. Main character Nyx controls well. The Wii remote-manipulated abilities are inspired and entertaining. The puzzles complex and smart. The difficulty challenging, especially as the quest wears on. And the entire package is realized by way of artistry and graphics of a caliber -- well, shall we say, uncommon on WiiWare. So if you're looking for your next purchase, this is it.

Icarian: Kindred Spirits es un juego delicado pero del que todo el mundo puede disfrutar. Ideal para un fin de semana o para una larga tarde, Over The Top Games ha logrado crear una muy recomendable experiencia que parece encajar como un guante a los principios de WiiWare.

I could spend paragraph after paragraph going on about how refreshing it is to see this type of game on Wiiware. NyxQuest respects the tenants of a classic platformer, and improves the formula by taking advantage of some of the Wii's unique features. It is a worthwhile adventure for 1,000 Wii Points that shouldn't be missed by anyone who appreciates a finely crafted, beautiful, and challenging game.

All-in-all, Kindred Spirits is three-and-a-half hours of gentle-paced platforming fun. It could be more challenging but it couldn’t be a better example of what WiiWare has to offer! A must-buy if you have a couple of hours to kill on the weekend!

Originally on WiiWare, there are some concessions to the touch screen with virtual buttons occasionally getting in the way of objects you need to move. This is a small price to pay for such a wondrous platformer at a fraction of the price.

I'm sure the relatively high price for the iOS version of NyxQuest will put off some of the more casual spenders, which is a shame (there is a lite version, if you want to try it out first). NyxQuest is a fine example of a mobile game that successfully makes the transition from other platforms to reach a wider, and different, audience. It plays like it should have been a game made for touch interfaces from the start, and it's the kind of game that would probably do well on a handheld's downloadable service.

NyxQuest is incredibly well made. The levels are designed to always throw something new at you, and the touch controls manipulating the world are very satisfying. The move and jump buttons can sometimes be unresponsive in the heat of the moment, but not to any great detriment. Some also might take issue with the game taking license with Greek mythology, but if God of War can run ram shod over the myths of an ancient people and still be a very enjoyable experience, we should afford NyxQuest the same courtesy.

A smartly implemented checkpoint system means you'll never restart from the beginning of a stage.

Regardless of control niggles, NyxQuest is still a must buy, even more so at its introductory price, but it'd be nice to see a future update correct the control based inaccuracies.

With various Greek gods making cameo appearances, the design team hasn’t been afraid to invoke the big names on the development side either, their simple platformer recalling Ico in its confident use of ruins and silence, and referencing Metroid and Zelda in the means by which its puzzles and items dictate the minute-to-minute structure. And yet, despite such a lineage, there’s never a moment when Icarian lacks its own identity, and never a moment where homage crosses the line into theft. Unlike Icarus himself, then, Over the Top has tempered its obvious ambition with skill and understanding, and the result is a game that’s refreshingly quick to take flight.

It’s lovely, and if there’s any criticism to be made, it’s that while NyxQuest effortlessly builds into something delightful, it never quite manages that little extra twist that distinguishes a truly memorable title. Even so, that’s still enough to make it stand out from its WiiWare peers, and there are few better ways to spend 1000 points on the service right now.

Beautifully stylized, beautifully implemented, and a true joy to play, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits is another excellent title in Nintendo's already-impressive WiiWare library. Who needs Kid Icarus?

If you like platformers that tickle your grey matter, you shouldn’t miss NyxQuest. The sights, the sounds, and the interesting puzzles really set the game apart from anything else on WiiWare right now.

I still feel like I haven't done the game justice, but there is just so little to compare it to. You could say it's like a 2D Okami, except the screen doesn't freeze when you use your celestial brush, or maybe more like complex and multifaceted than Lost Winds, except with more lightening and fireballs, but neither of those comparisons are quite right. I guess you'll just have to play the game and see what I mean yourself.

Quando si tratta di prodotti WiiWare bisogna sempre tenere presente il prezzo relativamente basso a cui questi vengono proposti al pubblico, e giudicare anche in conseguenza a questo. Quando ci troviamo di fronte ad un gioco ben fatto in ogni sua componente, come questo NyxQuest, i dubbi sono pochi: 1000 Wii Points sono certamente ben spesi per un titolo del genere. La semplicità sia degli enigmi che della struttura platform non lo rendono propriamente una sfida memorabile, ma la pulizia del level design, l'ottimo funzionamento dei controlli e la qualità della realizzazione tecnica lo ascrivono senza dubbio tra le perle di WiiWare.

Icarian puede considerarse una pequeña maravilla, pero una maravilla con una corta duración pese a sus 17 niveles bastante rejugables, ya que podrás elegir el nivel que quieras para conseguir las reliquias que te faltan. También será rejugable porque tiene un interesante modo cooperativo para dos jugadores. Un jugador será el encargado de controlar a Nyx, el otro, usará sólo el puntero para controlar los poderes de los dioses y abrirle el camino. Las posibilidades en este modo de juego aumentan y se hace igual o más divertido. Podría haber tenido muchos más poderes, más variedad de localizaciones, muchos más enemigos y más horas de juego, pero creo que han hecho un excelente trabajo y estoy convencido de que harán muchos más juegos. 

L’idea dei ragazzi di Over the Top Games di utilizzare la mitologia per creare un platform con elementi puzzle, seppur non originalissima, si è rilevata vincente. NyxQuest è un prodotto solido e ben curato, capace di garantire una discreta dose di divertimento a chi voglia spendere i 10€ necessari per il suo acquisto. Non convince del tutto l’inquadramento nel platform a livelli: con simili potenzialità si sarebbe potuto creare qualcosa di più complesso e intricato, o qualcosa di meno complesso ma con un maggior livello di sfida. Purtroppo in questi casi è difficile giudicare la reale intenzione degli sviluppatori, a fronte delle limitate dimensioni dei titoli WiiWare, la cui libreria però s’arricchisce di un altro pezzo pregiato. Ed iniziano ad essere tanti.

NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits with its gameplay ideas is an interesting take on the jump'n'run genre, the play experience mostly sullied by unfair checkpoints. On a technical level, the PC version can't however deny the Wii roots. And Topware's box version is flat-out overpriced.

El título está dotado de unos gráficos simples, pero a la vez encantadores. Como antes hemos dicho, nos recuerda bastante al aclamado Lost Winds. Por desgracia, nuestros queridos desarrolladores de Over the Top Games no han dispuesto de un  gran presupuesto y, sin embargo han logrado un gran trabajo en base a ello

Un buen control y un gran diseño de niveles para un juego pelín corto, pero del que se disfruta cada minuto que pasas con él.

If it weren't for the controls, NyxQuest would be a near perfect platformer.

NyxQuest es un plataformas muy divertido y con un diseño único, un juego diferente, ideal para relajarnos con su cuidado desarrollo y original estética, y que además se encuentra a un precio muy reducido. En definitiva, un nuevo juego de bajo presupuesto que consigue abrirse camino entre otros de tanto renombre.

Better looking than many a retail game and with only a little more variety it could've been a 2D classic.

Nyx Quest n'est pas un mauvais jeu, mais ses défauts trop présents le gâchent en partie. Entre un gameplay original mais mal pensé, un manque flagrant de variété et de contenu et de grosses redondances, on est forcé de reconnaitre que le potentiel fun est sérieusement entamé. Heureusement, le jeu se joue bien et la réalisation globale est de qualité.

Cette capacité est bien sûr largement mise à contribution par un level design fin et exigeant, multipliant les pièges, mais également les puzzles. Pour les résoudre, vous pourrez alors compter sur l'autre pouvoir de Nyx : le contrôle de certains objets à distance. D'un doigt, vous pourrez soulever et guider blocs, colonnes et autre boules de feu pour déjouer les pièges tendus. Malgré quelques petits soucis de maniabilité quand il s'agit d'utiliser cette dernière capacité, NyxQuest développe une aventure prenante et bien goupillée, hélas, entre autres, un peu courte (environ trois heures) et facile.
