Overall, I think Camper Van: Make it Home is a perfectly lovely game to while away some time with. And, you even get to choose a pet later down the road. I chose the lizard and it brought me so much joy to watch him meandering around outside the camper van. So cute.

Pour conclure, Camper Van: Make it Home est un jeu cosy, calme et reposant, parfait pour se détendre après une longue journée. Certes, le concept n’est pas très recherché. On décore et on aménage seulement des vans. Mais ça reste plaisant. Et ça nous permet de laisser libre cours à notre imagination le temps d’une soirée.

Camper Van: Make it Home shares a main principle overarching in all video games: losing yourself in something. But the no-stress approach means that although it still requires concentration and effort, it's something you really want to do rather than something you have to do. In that context, the visual design is excellent, and the audio is almost perfection. Have a go, and like me, you might be surprised how quickly the outside world drowns out - and thus, in its own context, how fantastic of a game it is.

I am still quite new to the wholesome, cosy game genre which Camper Van: Make it Home perfectly snuggles into, but my four hours unpacking and making my new homes was one filled with much happiness. There’s such a pleasure in finding a home for your belongings and spinning items to face the right way that I unexpectedly started to be invested much more than I first expected. And if, like me, you have always wanted to go on a camper van expedition but have never quite made it, then this will make for a wonderful replacement until you can hopefully make it in real life.

Camper Van: Make it Home takes the Barbie motorhome experience many of us dreamed of as kids, and ages it up for the girlies who are all grown up, but still fantasize about the tiny home life. The narrative is sweet and subtle, but takes a backseat in order to offer the player a chance to put themselves in the shoes of the protagonist. The game’s main focus is on the game’s beautiful and relaxing aesthetics, and on making the player feel like they can truly make these spaces their own.
