La perte d’une vie ne vous ramène pas en début de niveau. De plus, des mots de passe vous sont régulièrement délivrés. Un bon point car le challenge est de taille (même en Facile). On saluera au passage les jolis écrans explicatifs entre les niveaux (cinq en tout), même s’ils sont dans un français assez approximatif ! L’animation, toujours aussi fluide et détaillée, est au service d’un graphisme fidèle aux précédents opus. Seules les musiques crispantes viennent un peu noircir le tableau. Turok est une marque de qualité sur Game Boy. Ce nouvel épisode ne déroge pas à la règle.

Each Turok game on the Nintendo 64 vary in quality from one game to the next, but Turok on the Game Boy systems increase in quality with every release. This game is the best yet, and is a well-designed action game on the handheld. I still want a two-player link cable mode somewhere in the Game Boy version ¿ maybe when Acclaim moves the series to the Game Boy Advance. Until then, this game makes for a great action-adventure fix.

The game doesn't deliver a deep, engrossing story. It's all about shooting things, and players who just want to do that will have a lot of fun here. This is the same thing we've played hundreds of times on the Game Boy Color. In a lot of ways, that's a good thing -- but folks looking for something different won't find it here. Action and Turok fans will get a kick out of it, but they will likely want to check it out before putting down hard-earned cash for it.

Despite being a rehash, Turok 3 is a well-balanced, varied platform gaming experience. The vehicular and top-down levels give the game an activity-oriented feel, while the side-scrolling missions deliver the tried and true formula of bloodshed and mayhem the series' fans crave. If you're bored of Turok titles, Shadows of Oblivion is only a refinement on the theme. However, if the last few titles left you wanting more or you're new to the series, Turok 3 would be a fairly decent acquisition.

All in all, while Turok 3 doesn't offer a significant number of new features over Rage Wars, it is still an entertaining experience bringing with it a lot of variety and fun, fast action. Fans of action games should definitely consider picking this one up.
