Strike Force es un juego divertido, que a pesar de sus carencias nos dará cerca de unas quince horas de juego y diversión que nos dejarán un agradable sabor de boca. Pero sin duda, e instamos a ello en el futuro, Pyro podría haberlo hecho mucho mejor.

Commandos Strike Force se queda a medio camino entre la estrategia táctica de las anteriores entregas de la saga y los FPS bélicos actuales. Es, por tanto, un título muy recomendable tanto para aquellos aficionados a los anteriores Commandos como para aquellos jugadores que disfruten con el género de los juegos de acción en primera persona que buscan algo más que mera acción.

I suppose it'd be fair to say that the Commandos series has been successfully updated, but not without the sense that it is lacking something of the detail and complexity of its RTS cousins. With so many other, stronger games around right now I somehow suspect that Strike Force will earn few medals by the end of its tour of duty.

Dull and boring, not too many will play it longer than one sit through. For the fan of the series, you may want to rent since there is no nostalgic moments to reminisce about.

Visually, Strike Force is not a looker. Even the cutscenes display some stiff animation with emotionless faces. The music is good and the sound effects are very realistic. It's a pleasant experience to bask in the screams of the dying enemy. Overall, the production is somewhat dated. There is an online multi-player mode but it's just your standard frag fest and not really much of an incentive. You will extract the majority of your enjoyment from the single-player mode.

La nueva entrega de Commandos se queda a medio camino entre el shooter tradicional y la acción táctica al más puro estilo Hidden & Dangerous, manteniendo el espíritu de la saga, si bien no consigue destacar en ninguno de los dos aspectos. Considerando que un 6 equivale a un juego denominado Bueno, la puntuación que obtiene es el la correspondiente a un juego correcto, que divierte pero que no llega al notable por las carencias comentadas.

Overall, Commandos Strike Force is a decidedly average title with little to distinguish it from the rest of the World War II shooters out there. It's certainly more of the same when it comes to the stealth action and FPS genres that it follows, and doesn't really rise above or try anything particularly new in order to provide that little bit of an edge that it needs to make it out of the realm of mediocrity. While the sound certainly has a lot to like, most everything else about Commandos Strike Force remains mired in the past. If you absolutely must have more World War II action and want to revisit a bygone era, then Commandos Strike Force might be right for you.

Vous rêviez d’un Commandos-like façon FPS ? Moi aussi. Et j’en rêve toujours. Car si Strike Force vous distraira par ses missions assez intéressantes, notamment celles qui mettent en scène l’espion, vous regretterez par contre le management simultané des trois compères jouables auquel on s’attendait à bien plus d’ambition de la part des développeurs. Et c’est sans compter une mise en scène qui a deux ans de retard, des intérêts de missions complètement débiles (« allons sauver Fabrice dans l’hôpital, il sert à rien mais c’est notre ami ! ») et un doublage sacrément pourri.

Commandos Strike Force isn't a bad game...it's just similar to but worse than a large number of other World War II shooters. Its main distinguishing features--the ability to control a couple of soldiers through open-ended levels--aren't all that remarkable, and the core action doesn't cut it either. Consider this one a casualty.

Even if some parts are lackluster there's not much that's truly awful about it, and its unique elements are more than enough to make up for things like the handful of missions spoiled by suicidal Allies.

At the end of the day this was a game that I wanted to like after the rest of the series, but it just didn't deliver when I really wanted it to. There was one mission that brought out the intensity that I expected, but it was over too soon and right back to the problems that preceded it. I can't say that it's my least favorite game ever, but if I'm going to play a first person WWII shooter Commandos Strike Force would not be the first on my list.
