Overall, EnjoyUp Games did a great job with this WiiWare release. Beyond the nice visuals and sound, Chronos Twins DX is a challenging game that will definitely bode well with fans of traditional platformers, and perhaps even fans of games like Gunstar Heroes. The high level of difficulty may alienate some players but to be honest, it's a refreshing change in a generation of games that, at times, have been tailored too much to the casual audience. With a $10 price tag (in North America), Chronos Twins DX does not disappoint, providing a thoroughly challenging gameplay experience for platformer enthusiasts.

But over time, once your poor addled brain adapts to the game's unique demands, Chronos Twins DX's maddening appeal becomes increasingly apparent.

While unfortunate that a lot of gamers missed out on the original GBA Chronos Twins, this DX version makes up for the wait. Not only does the game bring an interesting and unique gameplay mechanic to the table, it also manages to surround it with smooth controls and a lot of personality. The game might be a tad on the short side, but you're definitely in for a fun ride while it lasts. And at only 1,000 points you're getting a lot of game for your buck, which makes the experience even sweeter.

EnjoyUp has listened well to the criticism aimed at the original title and delivered an excellent follow-up in Chronos Twins DX. It's another great addition to the slowly re-growing 2D platformer market, but its dual timeline hook is what separates it from the crowd. With two characters to control at once emphasising caution just as much as action, Chronos Twins DX should serve to satisfy anybody in need of a unique, challenging title to tax them on Wii.

Chronos Twins DX is a great action platformer that has a unique twist that it takes full advantage of. The puzzles are just challenging enough to be interesting. The platforming is super solid and uses both aspects of time to great effect. The boss fights are great. Despite a few hitches with the presentation and the fact that it’s not very long it’s a worthy addition to your WiiWare library. There are multiple difficulties and bonus levels that add some length to the game once you’ve finished the main story. Some people may say that 1,000 points is a bit much, but considering the game is a full DS retail release it’s quite a bargain for what you’re getting. You might be looking for this game to make some favorite lists at the end of the year. Don’t pass this game up. You won’t be disappointed.

For fans of classic 2D gaming, Chronos Twins is a must-play offering whether you find a way to dig up the original DS version or download it on WiiWare. For US gamers, this is the first time the game has seen a release stateside, and for that reason alone I highly recommend the purchase. It's got its random issues mainly in the overall presentation and interface but thankfully the outstanding gameplay has in no way been sacrificed during its transition from Game Boy Advance, onto DS, and then back onto a single-screen format. I truly believe that EnjoyUp was ahead of its time when Chronos Twin was originally crafted for GBA, and having a chance to own it after all these years just shouldn't be passed up, even if the game is showing its age a bit. The puzzles will twist your brain, the bosses are fun, and the game's "two screen, two dimension" hook is not only well thought up, but also well executed from top to bottom.

EnjoyUp's Chorno Twins DX for the WiiWare is a very enjoyable and unique game which will make you reminisce about the classic days of EnjoyUp's GBA Chrono Twin title. It is a game that takes a lot of skill to master but is enjoyable while getting through the process. The boss battles are great and the puzzles are fun and rewarding from start to finish. The split screen elements take a lot of time to get use to but doesn't make you want to stop playing. Even though it's short it is still worth picking up and mastering.
